Players of Fortnite will soon have the long-awaited ability to purchase V-Bucks in precise quantities. Starting October 14, an `Exact Amount` option will be introduced in the Fortnite shop, enabling users to acquire exactly the V-Bucks needed for their desired items.
This `Exact Amount` purchasing feature will extend to Fortnite, Rocket League, and Fall Guys. It will be accessible across multiple platforms including Xbox, Nintendo consoles, PC, Android, iPhone, and through the Fortnite web Item Shop. However, PlayStation platforms will not initially support this functionality, though Epic Games has committed to making it universally available in the future.
For Fortnite and Rocket League, precise V-Bucks or Credits purchases will be facilitated in increments of 50. Fall Guys will offer similar functionality for its Show-Bucks in increments of 100. Furthermore, on October 10, any existing V-Bucks or Rocket League Credits balances will be automatically rounded up to the nearest 50, while Fall Guys balances will be rounded up to the nearest 100.
Presently, virtual currency systems in games such as Fortnite often compel players to purchase more in-game funds than required for a specific item, due to currency packs being sold only in predetermined, fixed amounts.
