Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade Embraces New Platforms with an Ultra-Easy Mode

After several years of being an exclusive title for PlayStation consoles, Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade is set to expand its reach. It will soon be available on Xbox Series X|S and the highly anticipated Nintendo Switch 2, with a planned release in early 2026. While the game`s blend of real-time combat and action-RPG elements can present a formidable challenge, a new option dubbed `Streamlined Progression` will allow players to easily navigate battles and fully immerse themselves in the game`s compelling narrative.

Effortless Progression with the New Easy Mode

The `Streamlined Progression` mode is designed to make Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade significantly more accessible than previous difficulty settings. It even surpasses the traditional “old-school” combat mode, which primarily slows down the action for menu-based tactical selections. When `Streamlined Progression` is activated, players benefit from a suite of powerful advantages:

  • Infinite Health and Magic: Your character`s MP (Magic Points) and HP (Hit Points) will remain at their maximum values at all times.
  • Limitless Special Abilities: Both Limit Breaks and ATB (Active Time Battle) gauges will always be full during encounters, enabling continuous use of powerful skills and attacks.
  • Maximum Damage Output: Every attack performed will consistently deal a staggering 9,999 points of damage, ensuring swift victory over foes.
  • Rapid Weapon Skill Charging: Weapon abilities will charge at an accelerated rate, making special moves readily available.
  • Constant Item Supply: With only minor exceptions, players will always possess the maximum quantity of all available items.

This convenient mode can be toggled on or off at any moment directly from the main menu, offering complete flexibility to players who wish to adjust the challenge level during their adventure.

Preorder Incentives and Future Titles

Square Enix has also announced several appealing preorder bonuses for the multi-platform launch of Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade. Players who opt for the digital edition will receive a digital copy of the original Final Fantasy 7 game as a bonus; this offer, however, is set to expire on January 31, 2026. For those who prefer physical copies, preordering the boxed edition will net them a 15-card Magic: The Gathering Final Fantasy Play Booster pack.

Looking ahead, Square Enix has confirmed that Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, the second installment in the remake saga, is also slated for a future release on both Switch 2 and Xbox Series X|S, although a specific launch date has not yet been revealed. Regarding the final chapter of the remake trilogy, producer Tetsuya Nomura recently shared that the company already has a clear timeline for its official unveiling.

While fans await these exciting additions, the void can be filled with other anticipated JRPG titles such as Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles, the Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake, and Octopath Traveler 0.
