Fans Speculate on GTA 6 Tease in Travis Scott’s Music Video

A new music video from Jackboys and Travis Scott appears to contain a reference to GTA 6, leading fans to speculate about the `Sicko Mode` performer`s potential involvement in the upcoming Rockstar game.

Unexpected Clues: The License Plate

At the end of the `2000 Excursion` music video, a car with the license plate `GTA VI6` is clearly visible. Significantly, this is a Florida license plate, which aligns with the rumored setting of GTA 6 – Vice City, a virtual counterpart to Miami, Florida.

Travis Scott`s Gaming Connections

While this GTA 6 reference doesn`t necessarily confirm anything, Travis Scott has a history of collaborating with video game companies. For instance, in 2020, he held a massive concert in Fortnite in partnership with Epic Games, reportedly earning around $20 million.

Earlier reports also suggested that DJ Khaled and Drake might feature in GTA 6 with their own in-game radio stations. Although nothing is confirmed yet, Rockstar has a rich history of collaborating with real musicians for its radio stations, as seen with Roy Ayers in GTA 4 and Frank Ocean in GTA 5.

GTA 6 Release Date Postponed

Initially, GTA 6 was planned for release this year, but Rockstar Games has now postponed the launch date to May 26, 2026.

“We are truly sorry that the release will be later than you expected. The interest and excitement surrounding the new Grand Theft Auto installment have been truly overwhelming for our entire team. We want to thank you for your support and patience as we work to finalize the game,” Rockstar stated.

According to some reports, Fall 2025 was never a `realistic window` for the game`s release, and a delay to 2026 was inevitable. Rockstar management is reportedly keen to avoid a `brutal crunch` during the development of GTA 6.

Anticipated Success and Market Impact

GTA 6 is anticipated to be a colossal success, with one company predicting 40 million units sold in the first year alone. The game is also expected to be released on PC at a later date, creating a second sales cycle for this open-world title.

The delay of GTA 6 until 2026 is challenging news for the entire gaming market as well, given that one research firm predicted the gaming industry was counting on GTA 6 in 2025 to help improve its performance.
