Bethesda recently unveiled the upcoming C.A.M.P. Revamp update for Fallout 76, promising significant enhancements to the game`s base-building mechanics and an improved workshop menu. This update is specifically designed to make the process of creating and managing player bases much easier and more intuitive.
Creative Director Jon Rush highlighted the update in a developer preview, demonstrating new streamlined menus crafted for quicker item discovery. He also revealed the introduction of new tools and more flexible building rules, addressing long-standing player feedback.
`We`re getting rid of our rules regarding placement, allowing you to toggle snapping, intersecting, and free-place anywhere,` Rush stated. `We see and hear you, sky campers.`
Previously, players often faced limitations when constructing certain items on floating foundations, making the creation of elevated `sky bases` a challenging endeavor. This update aims to significantly simplify sky C.A.M.P. construction and improve placement versatility across all types of terrain, including uneven surfaces.
The C.A.M.P. Revamp update is scheduled for release in Fallout 76 on September 2nd, so players won`t have to wait long to experience the completely overhauled building system. Rush also hinted at exciting community C.A.M.P. building contests later this year, promising substantial prizes for creative builders.
