Fallout 4K Blu-Ray Deal: Prepare for Season 2!

The first season of Amazon`s critically acclaimed series “Fallout” is currently available at a reduced price of $30 on 4K Blu-ray. Released on July 8, Season 1 is offered in various formats including 4K, 1080p Blu-ray, and DVD. This special promotion makes the 4K Blu-ray edition surprisingly affordable, matching the price of the standard 1080p version. It’s an ideal opportunity for fans to either catch up or re-experience the series, especially with the upcoming premiere of Season 2.

Amazon has officially announced that “Fallout” Season 2 will debut on December 17. Unlike the first season, which released all episodes simultaneously, Season 2 will adopt a traditional weekly release schedule. New episodes will be available on Wednesdays, with the highly anticipated Season 2 finale scheduled for February 4.

Watch Fallout Season 1

  • 4K Blu-ray (Standard Edition): $30 (originally $40)
  • 4K Steelbook Edition: $43 (currently sold out, considered a limited-edition release)
  • Blu-ray (1080p): $30
  • DVD: $25
  • Also available via Amazon Prime Video subscription.

It`s important to note that the $30 4K Blu-ray offer pertains to the standard edition with a plastic case. The highly sought-after collectible 4K Steelbook Edition, which quickly sold out after pre-orders opened in April and saw only brief restocks, is now generally unavailable. Amazon indicates its limited-edition status, suggesting it might not return to stock.

Fallout: Season 1 Technical Specifications & Special Features

“Fallout: Season 1” is presented across three discs, featuring all eight episodes in stunning 4K resolution (2160p) with High Dynamic Range support (Dolby Vision and HDR10). The audio experience is also enhanced with Dolby Atmos and Dolby TrueHD 7.1 surround sound. The eight episodes collectively run for approximately 450 minutes (7.5 hours).

Beyond the main episodes, a dedicated bonus content disc (standard Blu-ray format) offers a variety of behind-the-scenes featurettes. These include:

  • Animated Content
  • Console to Camera
  • Inside Season 1
  • Prosthetics & Makeup Gone Nuclear
  • Set Your Sets on 2296
  • Welcome to the World of Fallout
  • Becoming The Ghoul
  • Creating the Wasteland
  • Safe and Sound
  • Meet the Filmmaker Jonathan Nolan
  • The Costumes of Fallout
  • Writing for the Wasteland

Released on Prime Video last April, Season 1 garnered widespread positive reviews from both critics and fans, solidifying its place as one of the successful live-action adaptations of a video game. The availability of physical Blu-ray editions is a notable occurrence, as Amazon Originals are not typically released in this format. The physical sets were produced and distributed by Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment.

The series follows three distinct characters navigating the post-apocalyptic Wasteland: a Vault dweller venturing above ground for the first time, a squire from the Brotherhood of Steel, and a formidable bounty hunter known as The Ghoul.
