The iconic stealth-action game, Deus Ex, originally launched in 2000, is slated for a PlayStation 5 remaster. This exciting revelation came during Sony`s State of Play livestream on September 24, with a confirmed release date of February 5, 2026.
Marking the game`s 25th anniversary, this upcoming remaster aims to reintroduce protagonist JC Denton to a new generation with significantly enhanced visual fidelity. Developed in collaboration by Sony, Aspyr, and Eidos Montreal, the project promises updated graphics, modernized controls, and full integration of key PS5 features, including immersive haptic feedback through the DualSense controller.
Matthew Ray, Aspyr`s associate brand manager, elaborated on the details via the PlayStation Blog, stating that the Deus Ex remaster will showcase environments with refined lighting, improved shadows, richer particle effects, and high-resolution textures. Furthermore, the revamped control scheme is specifically designed to provide a more intuitive and responsive gameplay experience for contemporary players.
