Amazon is offering the Limited Edition Steelbook of Detective Pikachu for just $28. This 4K Blu-ray, launched in late April, had previously seen its price rise to $42.49. The current $28 price point represents an all-time low for this charming collectible version of the live-action Pokémon film.
Originally, Detective Pikachu debuted on Blu-ray in 2019, with Best Buy offering an exclusive steelbook edition. That particular version is no longer available—Best Buy has since stopped selling movies—and can now be found at exorbitant prices on platforms like eBay. The newly released edition features a distinct steelbook design, showcasing Ryme City`s renowned detective.
The new Limited Edition Steelbook for Detective Pikachu comes with both 4K and 1080p Blu-ray discs, plus a digital copy voucher redeemable until June 30, 2027. The steelbook itself boasts Pikachu`s cheerful face against the Ryme City skyline on its front and back, while the interior artwork features a memorable screenshot of Tim Goodman and Pikachu. Technically, this is an upscaled 4K Blu-ray, supporting HDR10 and offering multiple advanced audio options, including Dolby Atmos, TrueHD 7.1, and Digital 5.1.
