Detective Pikachu 4K Steelbook Edition Available at a Steal

The recently launched 4K Blu-ray Steelbook Edition of “Pokemon Detective Pikachu” is currently available at a significant discount. Originally priced at $33 upon its April release, this vibrant Limited Edition Steelbook can now be purchased for just $19.49. Furthermore, certain customers might be eligible for an extra 20% reduction, bringing the price down to an impressive $15.59.

While “Detective Pikachu” first arrived on Blu-ray in 2019, with an exclusive Steelbook from Best Buy, that original collectible has since become rare and expensive on reseller markets. This newer 2025 Steelbook Edition, however, features a fresh design inspired by the movie`s theatrical promotional posters.

It`s important to note that the standard editions of “Detective Pikachu” are typically quite affordable, with the 4K Blu-ray currently priced around $15 and the 1080p Blu-ray at just $8.

“Detective Pikachu” significantly influenced perceptions and expectations for video game adaptations, setting a precedent for live-action films based on beloved game franchises with animated aesthetics. Before “The Super Mario Bros. Movie” broke box office records in 2023, “Detective Pikachu” was the highest-grossing video game adaptation ever. While it began 2025 holding the second spot, its position was soon overtaken by “Sonic the Hedgehog 3,” and later by “A Minecraft Movie,” which almost achieved the milestone of $1 billion globally.

Fans of Pokémon can also find the “Pokemon: The Movies 1-3 Steelbook Collection” (Blu-ray) back in stock, currently priced at $33, a reduction from its previous $40.
