Продолжение было официально представлено на онлайн-презентации THQ Nordic. Издатель подтвердил, что Darksiders 4 напрямую продолжит сюжет первой части и позволит до четырех игрокам объединиться в кооперативе, управляя всеми четырьмя Всадниками.
Все игры серии Darksiders разворачиваются в постапокалиптическом мире, разоренном вечной борьбой между Небесами и Адом. Изначально Война был обвинен в преждевременном начале апокалипсиса, после чего ему был предоставлен шанс доказать свою невиновность, найдя истинного виновника.

Darksiders 4: An Epic Continuation of the Original Saga After 15 Years
Released in 2010, the original Darksiders concluded with an intriguing cliffhanger, showing its protagonist, War, poised to confront the forces of Heaven, Hell, and the Council. Now, 15 years later, the first teaser for Darksiders 4 reintroduces the ending of the original game. The announcement video revisits those final moments as War is joined by his fellow Horsemen of the Apocalypse: Death, Fury, and Strife.
The sequel was officially unveiled today during THQ Nordic`s online preview event. The publisher confirmed that Darksiders 4 will pick up directly after the first game`s story and will feature co-op gameplay, allowing up to four players to control all Four Horsemen together.
All Darksiders games are set in a post-apocalyptic world ravaged by the eternal conflict between Heaven and Hell. War was initially blamed for prematurely unleashing the apocalypse and was subsequently given the opportunity to prove his innocence by uncovering the true culprit.
Death and Fury served as the main protagonists in Darksiders 2 and Darksiders 3, respectively. Strife, on the other hand, led the 2019 spin-off, Darksiders Genesis, which diverged from the series` traditional third-person action in favor of a top-down, isometric view.
Darksiders 4 will mark a return to the franchise`s familiar third-person perspective. THQ Nordic promises “cinematic,” “fast-paced,” and “visceral” action, offering players a combination of melee combat and supernatural abilities.
While a release date for Darksiders 4 has not yet been announced, the game will be available on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
