Инди-игра Creepy Redneck Dinosaur Mansion 3 изначально позиционировалась как продолжение вымышленной франшизы. Теперь, благодаря сотрудничеству Strange Scaffold и новой студии Pedalboard Games, эта “франшиза” становится реальностью. Разрабатывается Creepy Redneck Dinosaur Mansion 1: ReRaptored — игра, представленная как ремастер первой части серии, которая до этого момента не существовала. Релиз запланирован на сентябрь.
В ReRaptored игроки возьмут на себя роль агента АТФ Джека Брайара, отправленного в болота Луизианы для расследования странных событий, связанных с динозаврами. Геймплей будет похож на оригинальную CRDM3: это сюжетно-ориентированная метроидвания с элементами “три в ряд”. Исследование мира и получение новых черт персонажа будут открывать новые пути. Ожидается, что продолжит развиваться и остроумный комментарий на игровую индустрию, характерный для CRDM3.
Разработку ReRaptored ведет Pedalboard Games под эгидой программы “Project Share” от Strange Scaffold. Эта инициатива позволяет новым студиям использовать существующий код и концепции для создания новых проектов. Как пояснил Ксавье Нельсон-младший из Strange Scaffold, цель программы — поощрять радикальный обмен ресурсами между разработчиками, вне традиционных капиталистических стимулов. Это должно помочь студиям выживать, быстрее выпускать качественные игры и способствовать более устойчивому развитию индустрии в целом.

From Fictional Franchise to Real Game: Creepy Redneck Dinosaur Mansion Returns!
The indie game Creepy Redneck Dinosaur Mansion 3 was initially presented as a sequel to a fictitious franchise. Now, thanks to the collaboration between Strange Scaffold and the new studio Pedalboard Games, this “franchise” is becoming a reality. Creepy Redneck Dinosaur Mansion 1: ReRaptored is currently under development, introduced as a remastered version of the first installment in a series that never existed until now. Its release is scheduled for September.
In ReRaptored, players will assume the role of ATF agent Jack Briar, dispatched to the Louisiana bayou to investigate strange dinosaur-related occurrences. The gameplay will be similar to the original CRDM3: a story-driven Metroidvania with match-3 elements. Exploring the world and acquiring new character traits will unlock new paths. It is also expected that the witty commentary on the game development industry, characteristic of CRDM3, will continue.
Pedalboard Games is developing ReRaptored under Strange Scaffold`s “Project Share” program. This initiative allows new studios to utilize existing code and concepts to create new projects. As Xalavier Nelson Jr. from Strange Scaffold explained, the program`s goal is to encourage radical resource sharing among developers, outside traditional capitalist incentives. This is intended to help studios survive, release high-quality games more quickly, and contribute to a more sustainable industry overall.
Creepy Redneck Dinosaur Mansion 3 is already available on Steam, and Creepy Redneck Dinosaur Mansion 1: ReRaptored will be released on September 23.
