Horror-comedy enthusiasts, prepare yourselves! Two thrilling *Creepshow* Blu-ray releases are slated to arrive this autumn. Following the July pre-order launch for Arrow Video`s 4K restoration of *Creepshow 2*, fans can now also secure an exclusive Blu-ray box set featuring all four seasons of Shudder`s acclaimed anthology series. The *Creepshow: Complete Series Collector`s Edition*, priced at $100, is now available for pre-order, with its official release scheduled for November 11.
Much like the *Creepshow 2 Limited Edition*, this TV series collection fully embraces the franchise`s nostalgic origins and aesthetic. It`s presented in a retro CRT TV display box, which houses individual disc cases designed to resemble vintage comic books—making it a truly fantastic collectible for any devoted *Creepshow* fan.

Currently, a full product description for the box set is unavailable, leaving some details about the miniature CRT TV in the image above to speculation. However, with the TV display showcasing `The Creep` and the *Creepshow* logo against a red background, it suggests an interactive feature, possibly allowing users to `switch` screens, perhaps using the dial on the front. It`s also plausible that these are simply interchangeable cards that slide into place, and turning the dial to change channels might be wishful thinking. Each of the four seasons comes in its own case, meticulously designed to mimic the in-universe *Creepshow* comics and Stephen King’s original graphic novel.
Further enhancing the box set`s appeal, it includes a comic book based on `Skeletons in the Closet,` a standout vignette from Season 3, Episode 2. The *Creepshow 2 Limited Edition 4K Blu-ray* also features a physical comic book, though this is exclusively part of the first printing. This comic adapts an unpublished Stephen King story originally intended for the 1987 film. The *Creepshow 2 Limited Edition* is set for release on September 30 for $50. For those eager to dive into the franchise while anticipating these new arrivals, the original 1982 anthology`s 4K Steelbook Edition is currently available at a discounted price of $27.79 (originally $40).
For dedicated *Creepshow* fans, this article is your essential guide. Beyond the details of the two forthcoming editions, we`ve compiled comprehensive lists of *Creepshow* Blu-rays, behind-the-scenes books, and the ongoing comic book anthology series. Continue reading below to explore fantastic *Creepshow* offers.
Creepshow: Complete Series – Collector`s Edition (Blu-ray)
Priced at $100 | Releases November 11
Premiering on Shudder in 2019, *Creepshow* rapidly became a flagship original series for the horror streaming platform. It significantly boosted subscriptions, particularly with its first season, which many consider the strongest iteration of the franchise since the original film.
This anthology series concluded in 2023 after four seasons and 25 episodes, which included two TV specials. Each *Creepshow* episode typically features two distinct vignettes, each lasting approximately 20-25 minutes.
While franchise creators Stephen King and George A. Romero weren`t directly involved in the series` production, several episodes are based on King`s short stories. This includes the very first vignette, `Gray Matter,` adapted from his acclaimed collection *Night Shift*. The 2020 Halloween special featured an adaptation of `Survivor Type` from *Skeleton Crew*, with the latter half based on `Twittering from the Circus of the Dead` from *Full Throttle* by Joe Hill, Stephen King`s eldest son.
The 9-disc box set boasts a total runtime of approximately 18 hours, presenting all 23 episodes and two specials in 1080p resolution with DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 support. Bonus features include cast and crew interviews, behind-the-scenes featurettes, and photo galleries.
For those interested in more behind-the-scenes insights, *Shudder`s Creepshow: From Script to Scream*, a 240-page coffee-table book with a foreword by Stephen King, is also recommended.
Creepshow 2 Limited Edition (4K Blu-ray)
Priced at $50 | Releases September 30
The *Creepshow 2 Limited Edition* features a native 4K restoration sourced directly from the original camera negative, enhanced with HDR (Dolby Vision and HDR10), and offering three audio formats: 5.1 DTS-HD, stereo, and lossless monaural.
This 4K release largely retains the on-disc special features from Arrow Video`s 2016 2K restoration, *Creepshow 2: Special Edition*. The reversible sleeve and cover art, designed by Mike Saputo, also align with the 2016 release.
Similar to the initial printing of the 1080p Blu-ray, the 4K edition includes two limited-edition booklets. Previously scarce, these booklets offer a new opportunity for collectors. The first printing of the 4K release features a distinctive red sleeve, which is expected to change to a blue sleeve once sold out, mirroring the Blu-ray edition.
A highlight is a booklet containing the comic adaptation of `Pinfall,` one of two stories omitted from the film. Penned by Stephen King and adapted into a script by George Romero, `Pinfall` was brought to comic form by Jason Mayoh for the 2016 Blu-ray release. This booklet is accompanied by an illustrated one featuring commentary by Michael Blyth.
`Pinfall` remains an unpublished short story and has never been filmed, making this comic adaptation the sole means to experience this unique Stephen King narrative.
Creepshow 2 4K Limited Edition Bonuses:
- `Pinfall` comic booklet (adaptation of unpublished King story)
- Illustrated booklet with commentary on the film
- Collector`s sleeve with original artwork and reversible cover art
- Featurettes, audio commentaries, and interviews
A comprehensive list of all on-disc special features can be found at the end of this article. For a deeper exploration of the sequel, consider *The Making of Creepshow 2*, a 320-page book by Lee Karr, which chronicles the film`s production through documents and interviews with cast and crew.
Creepshow Limited Edition Steelbook (4K Blu-ray)
Priced at $28 (previously $40)
While it`s possible to watch *Creepshow 2* independently, the original 1982 anthology offers a more complete collection of horror-comedy narratives, making it highly recommended viewing. It`s already available on 4K Blu-ray; a Collector`s Edition was released in 2023, and the impressive Steelbook Edition, pictured above, debuted last Halloween. The Limited Edition Steelbook is currently on sale for $27.89 (down from $40), a difference of just two dollars from the Collector`s Edition.
Both editions include both 4K Blu-ray and standard 1080p Blu-ray discs, featuring identical special features. The film underwent a 4K remastering process using the original camera negatives, now supporting HDR (Dolby Vision and HDR10), Dolby Atmos audio, and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 and 2.0. Special features include audio commentary by George Romero, a roundtable discussion on the anthology`s creation, and much more. A complete list is provided at the conclusion of this article.

The *Creepshow* franchise, including its sequels, masterfully combines horror and comedy, drawing inspiration from iconic comics such as *Tales from the Crypt* and *The Haunt of Fear*. The original 1982 film, directed by George Romero, is an anthology featuring five unique stories, including a resurrected murder victim, a mysterious meteor on a remote farm, and a man hunted by an army of cockroaches. Stephen King made his screenwriting debut with *Creepshow*, adapting two of his short stories for the film. Emphasizing its comic book roots, King also released a graphic novel adaptation of the film in the same year. *Creepshow 2*`s screenplay was penned by Romero and directed by Michael Gornick, the original film`s cinematographer. Although initially conceived with five vignettes like its predecessor, only three made it to the screen: `Old Chief Wood`nhead,` `The Raft,` and `The Hitch-hiker.` All three are based on King`s short stories, with `The Raft` being the only one published in his celebrated collection *Skeleton Crew*. Another King story cut from *Creepshow 2*, `Cat from Hell,` later appeared in *Tales from the Darkside: The Movie* in 1990. This spin-off film originated from a TV series created by Romero in 1983. It`s no coincidence that *Tales from the Darkside*, another horror-comedy anthology, emerged following *Creepshow*`s surprising box office triumph. *Tales from the Darkside: The Complete Series* is available on DVD.
All Creepshow Movie & TV Anthologies

Beyond the special collector`s editions, the first two *Creepshow* anthologies can be found for approximately $10 on standard Blu-ray. While the *Creepshow* franchise technically includes three films, the 2006 direct-to-video *Creepshow 3* is largely disowned by fans due to its poor quality. Should you wish to revisit it, a region-free Blu-ray of *Creepshow 3* is available. Alternatively, all three films are compiled in a DVD box set. Another multi-film option is the *King of Horror 8-Film Collection* (available on Blu-ray or DVD), which features the original *Creepshow* alongside classics like *The Shining*, *Shawshank Redemption*, *The Green Mile*, and the 1990 *It* miniseries.

Creepshow Comics and Graphic Novels

The success of Shudder`s series also sparked a resurgence for *Creepshow* in print. Since 2022, Skybound and Image Comics have released 19 *Creepshow* comics, with 15 of these compiled into paperback volumes. Each volume presents five stories, crafted by a diverse group of renowned industry talents, including Garth Ennis and Joe Hill. Notably, Joe Hill, who appeared as a child in the original *Creepshow* film`s prologue and epilogue, contributed an official *Creepshow* comic, *Joe Hill`s Wolverton Station*, over four decades later. The inaugural issue of Volume 4 is slated for publication on September 17. To catch up on the anthology, the initial three volumes are available as trade paperbacks. Volume 3 launched in April, with Volume 4`s paperback edition anticipated next March. Last holiday season, Image Comics released a hardcover Deluxe Edition, collecting the first two volumes. This edition offers significant value, pricing similarly to purchasing the two paperback editions separately. Joe Hill`s *Creepshow* comic, along with three other titles, are standalone `one-shots` not featured in the collected volumes, though digital Kindle editions are available. All 19 *Creepshow* comics released to date can also be acquired as a digital bundle. Before diving into the modern series, Stephen King`s original *Creepshow* graphic novel, available in paperback, is highly recommended.
