Bandai Namco unveiled a thrilling new trailer for Code Vein II during the PlayStation State of Play broadcast on September 24th, simultaneously announcing a release date of January 30, 2026.
This highly anticipated sequel builds upon the foundation of 2019`s cult-favorite action RPG, Code Vein, which immersed players in a gothic fantasy realm where humans and vampiric entities, called Revenants, share an uneasy existence. The narrative centers on a malevolent new threat, the Luna Rapacis, which is mutating Revenants into monstrous beings. Players control a custom protagonist who joins forces with Lou, a young woman capable of manipulating time, on a quest to uncover the source of the Luna Rapacis and halt the world`s descent into ruin.
Core gameplay mechanics will include temporal manipulation and extensive exploration, alongside the franchise`s signature `blood action` combat abilities. Players will enjoy deep customization options for their character, encompassing appearance, skills, and an expanded arsenal featuring new weapons like Rune Blades and Dual Swords. The trailer also showcased innovative `Forma` skills, which unleash diverse and potent effects, notably the Motorcycle Forma and the devastating Absolute Execution Sword.
