Closed Playtest Announced for StarRupture This Month

For fans of sci-fi survival games, developer Creepy Jar has revealed that their forthcoming title, StarRupture, will host a three-day closed playtest this month. From July 29th to 31st, players will have the opportunity to experience the single-player component of this game, which is ultimately intended for multiplayer gameplay.

StarRupture places players in the shoes of prisoners sentenced to serve time on the penal colony planet known as Arcadia-7. However, their confinement isn`t limited to a single structure; the entire vast world acts as their prison. Only the most resourceful and determined individuals will be able to survive and endure the planet`s harsh conditions.

Interested players can sign up for the playtest through the official StarRupture Steam page. While the full game will support cooperative play with up to four participants, this specific playtest is dedicated to the solo experience. During the test, players can focus on constructing bases, exploring the environment, and honing their survival and combat abilities. The game will feature character progression, allowing testers to unlock new modifications and building options, and customize their character`s skills to better suit their preferred style of play.

Players are not entirely left to their own devices. The powerful corporations that control this prison planet have issued mandates for all inhabitants to construct a factory and gather necessary resources. These companies, however, show little concern for the well-being of the prisoners, even if they meet a grim end at the hands of the `bloodthirsty enemies` that are native to Arcadia-7.

StarRupture is currently slated for an early access release sometime in the fall.
