Classic Peanuts TV Specials to be Released on Blu-Ray This October

The enduring appeal of Charles M. Schulz`s Peanuts remains undiminished, transcending generations. Originally a syndicated comic strip, Peanuts gained immense popularity from the 1960s onward, largely due to its beloved animated TV specials. Fans can now look forward to a significant collection of these specials making their way to Blu-ray later this year. For those eager to revisit these cherished animated tales, the Peanuts: Ultimate TV Specials Collection is set to launch on October 7.

This comprehensive five-disc Blu-ray set features 40 animated Peanuts specials, spanning from the inaugural broadcast in 1965 all the way to 2011. Each special has undergone a meticulous remastering process, now presented in crisp 1080p resolution. The collection also includes a 28-page commemorative booklet filled with exclusive artwork and fascinating details about each episode. Viewers can enjoy the specials with English audio in Dolby 5.1 surround sound, complemented by optional subtitles. This extensive compilation offers more than 18 hours of classic Peanuts content.

Since their debut, Charlie Brown, Snoopy, and the entire Peanuts gang have profoundly influenced popular culture. Their animated specials have long served as a source of visual comfort, cherished for their endearing characters. Over five decades, while individual episodes might vary, several have achieved iconic status. Memorable moments include Lucy`s persistent efforts to win Schroeder`s affection amidst his musical passion, Charlie Brown`s nervous excitement when tasked with accompanying his crush, the Little Red-Haired Girl, to the school dance, and Linus`s unwavering vigil for the arrival of the Great Pumpkin in another beloved special.

Snoopy, Charlie Brown`s beloved dog, has frequently taken center stage in many specials such as `A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving,` `Easter Beagle,` and `He’s Your Dog,` solidifying his status as a global pop culture icon. It`s important to note that while this collection is extensive, it does not encompass every single Peanuts special ever made.
