During the recent Call of Duty: Next event, Activision unveiled significant updates for its popular first-person shooter franchise, particularly detailing upcoming changes to Call of Duty: Warzone.
Introducing Haven`s Hollow
Starting with Season 1, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 will be integrated into Warzone, bringing with it a completely new Resurgence map named Haven`s Hollow. This new addition is designed to be more expansive than Fortune`s Keep but slightly smaller than Rebirth Island.

Haven`s Hollow is set in Liberty Falls, a location previously featured in Black Ops 6 Zombies, depicted before the zombie apocalypse. Consequently, the map showcases a lively and colorful environment, devoid of zombie-themed elements, and offers numerous points of interest for players to discover. High Moon Studios was responsible for its design and development.
Verdansk`s Enduring Legacy
Another major announcement from the Call of Duty: Next event confirmed that Verdansk, the inaugural map for Warzone, will continue to serve as the primary battleground. However, it`s returning with some modifications, including the introduction of two fresh points of interest: Factory and Signal Station.
Originally launched with Warzone in 2020, Verdansk was a fan-favorite before its removal in 2021. Its reintroduction earlier this year led to a significant boost in player engagement, making Activision`s decision to retain it as the main map quite understandable.
Key Gameplay Adjustments
Several key gameplay alterations are also on the horizon for Warzone. Players will now be limited to five attachments per weapon, with Wildcards being removed. The tactical sprint feature has been revised, now requiring the Sprinter perk to activate. Furthermore, the combat roll ability from Black Ops 7 will be introduced to Warzone through the Mountaineer perk. Expect an increase in the quantity of ground loot available across the maps.
Upcoming Releases
For players eagerly awaiting, Black Ops 7 is scheduled for release on November 14, with a multiplayer beta commencing on October 2.
