Best Perks for Multiplayer

Perk 1 Slot

Ghost: Renders you undetectable by enemy Scout Pulse and UAVs while moving, planting, defusing, or controlling Scorestreaks. This perk belongs to the Recon (blue) category.

Ghost is an excellent choice for players prioritizing stealth, allowing you to remain off enemy radar. It`s also a smart pick for classes focused on long-range engagements with sniper rifles, where staying hidden is key.

Ninja: Enhances quiet movement. This perk is also part of the Recon (blue) category.

Similar to Ghost, Ninja facilitates stealthy maneuvers and is highly effective in non-respawn modes such as Search and Destroy, where silent movement can provide a significant advantage.

Note that Ghost and Ninja occupy the same perk slot this year, meaning you cannot equip both for a stealth loadout unless you utilize the Perk Greed Wildcard, as explained below.

Cold-Blooded: Makes you undetectable by AI targeting and thermal optics. Player-controlled scorestreaks will not highlight your position. This perk is in the Recon (blue) category.

It`s always wise to have at least one loadout designated as a Cold-Blooded class. This allows for quick switches when needed, especially considering Black Ops 7 features numerous lethal scorestreaks capable of targeting players.

Flak Jacket: Significantly reduces incoming damage from explosives and fire. This perk falls under the Strategist (green) category.

Flak Jacket is a solid option for objective players who frequently capture and defend Hardpoint or Domination flags, offering crucial protection against incoming grenades and other explosive ordnance.

Perk 2 Slot

Looper: Grants the ability to re-earn Scorestreaks within the same life. This is an Enforcer (red) perk.

By default, Scorestreaks reset upon death. Looper allows continuous earning of streaks, making it ideal for players who consistently achieve high killstreaks and want to maximize their Scorestreak usage.

Fast Hands: Enables faster weapon swapping and extends the fuse time when throwing back grenades. This perk belongs to the Strategist (green) category.

In Black Ops 7`s rapid multiplayer combat, movement and speed are paramount. The quicker weapon swap provided by Fast Hands can be a lifesaver when your primary weapon runs out of ammunition during an engagement.

Perk 3 Slot

Dexterity: Reduces weapon motion and allows full ADS (Aim Down Sights) during slides, dives, and wall jumps. Also reduces fall damage. This is an Enforcer (red) perk.

Dexterity is the most popular choice for the third perk slot. It is essential for players looking to fully utilize Black Ops 7`s omnidirectional movement mechanics while maintaining combat effectiveness during gunfights.

Tracker: Displays rough locations of nearby enemies on your minimap and reveals their footsteps in the world. Aiming down sights automatically pings enemies.

If fluid movement is less of a priority, Tracker is an excellent perk for gathering intelligence. It allows you to follow highlighted enemy footsteps, aiding in hunting down opponents on the map.

Bankroll: Grants +150 score towards Scorestreaks at the start of each life. This is in the Recon (blue) perk category.

Bankroll is highly beneficial if you typically struggle to earn Scorestreaks or simply wish to accelerate their acquisition, providing a consistent boost at the beginning of every life.

Recommended Wildcard Picks

Black Ops 7 Wildcards
A look at the Wildcard selection in Black Ops 7.

Treyarch`s Wildcard system makes a return in Black Ops 7. Each loadout can be equipped with one Wildcard to further customize and enhance your setup. Here are some highly recommended options:

Overkill: Allows you to equip any non-melee weapon in both primary and secondary slots.

Overkill provides the flexibility to carry an additional primary weapon. This is incredibly useful for pairing a slower weapon, such as a sniper or marksman rifle, with a faster option like a submachine gun, preparing you for a wider range of combat scenarios.

Gunfighter: Grants three extra attachment slots for your primary weapon.

Gunfighter enables you to add three more attachments, allowing for highly optimized and powerful weapon builds tailored to your specific needs.

Perk Greed: Allows you to equip an extra perk.

Having an additional perk is always advantageous, especially given that many potent perks are clustered within the Tier 1 slot, offering more flexibility in your loadout customization.

Combat Specialties

Black Ops 7 introduces a Specialty Bonus system, similar to Black Ops 6. The three perks chosen for your loadout will determine your Combat Specialty. By equipping three perks from the same category, you activate the Enforcer (red), Recon (blue), or Strategist (green) Combat Specialty bonus.

Furthermore, Hybrid Combat Specialties can now be activated by combining perks from different categories. As long as your loadout includes at least two perks of the same color, you are guaranteed to unlock a Hybrid Combat Specialty.

While any of these specialties can be a beneficial addition, consider which bonus best aligns with your playstyle. It may or may not be worth tailoring your entire perk selection specifically for a bonus.

Hybrid Combat Specialties

Hybrid Specialty: Scout (Red and Blue Perks)

Scout combines offense and stealth. Upon achieving a bullet elimination, you will remain completely hidden from enemy minimaps for five seconds. Additional eliminations during this period will reset the timer.

Hybrid Specialty: Tactician (Red and Green Perks)

Tactician is a support and offense hybrid. When you earn assists, you will also receive bonus score from bullet eliminations for ten seconds.

Hybrid Specialty: Operative (Blue and Green Perks)

Operative blends stealth and support. You gain Field Upgrade charge from stealthy eliminations. This includes kills with suppressed weapons, melee eliminations, and eliminations while out of the enemy`s line of sight.

Core Specialties

Core Specialty: Enforcer (All Red Perks)

After each elimination, you gain a temporary buff to both movement speed and health regeneration speed.

Core Specialty: Recon (All Blue Perks)

Upon respawning, you will see the direction of the closest enemy on your minimap. The edge of your HUD will also pulse to indicate enemies outside your view. Additionally, you will leave no death skulls.

Core Specialty: Strategist (All Green Perks)

You receive increased score for objectives and sabotage. Equipment deployment speed is also enhanced, and you can see enemy content through walls for a short distance.
