With the official launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 on PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S scheduled for November 14, players eagerly anticipate the upcoming multiplayer beta. For those who pre-ordered this military shooter, the good news is that the beta was set to begin this weekend, and preloading was already made available, allowing early access to intense combat.
To gain access to the beta preload, specific conditions had to be met: players needed to have either pre-ordered the game, held an active Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription, or watched the Call of Duty Next livestream on September 30. Following the livestream, CharlieIntel announced on October 1 via an X post that download codes for viewers would be distributed soon.
A new trailer was also released, showcasing highlights from the beta. Synchronized with Playboi Carti`s `FEIN,` the video presented a dynamic overview of various in-game maps, intense firefights with countless bullets and explosions, tactical airstrikes, remote-controlled vehicles, and many other exciting features.
The Black Ops 7 beta was structured into two distinct phases. The first phase, which ran from Thursday, October 2, to Sunday, October 5, was reserved exclusively for players who obtained access through one of the three aforementioned methods. The second phase, commencing on Sunday, October 5, and concluding on Wednesday, October 8, was then opened to all players, irrespective of their pre-order status. Detailed regional start and end times were provided to help players determine their participation window.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is set to introduce several significant gameplay modifications, particularly regarding the mechanics of body shields and wall jumping. Players had the opportunity to experience these new tweaks, along with a sneak peek at the popular Zombies mode, within the multiplayer environment during the beta weekend.
