The mid-season update for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone is set to launch this week, bringing a host of new content for Season 5 Reloaded. Players can look forward to a new DLC weapon, additional multiplayer maps, a new scorestreak, and two exciting seasonal events.
Call of Duty Season 5 Reloaded Start Times
Activision has confirmed that Call of Duty Season 5 Reloaded will become available on September 4th. The update`s rollout is scheduled for 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET / 5 PM BST across all gaming platforms.
What to Expect from Season 5 Reloaded
New Weapon and Scorestreak
As part of this mid-season patch, a new weapon and scorestreak will be introduced. The Gravemark .357, a single-action revolver, and the Combat Bow, a new scorestreak, will be obtainable as free rewards during upcoming in-game events.
Seasonal Events
The “Nuketown Block Party” seasonal event features both paid and free reward tiers, mirroring previous Call of Duty event passes that included popular crossovers. This time, however, the rewards are themed specifically around the iconic Nuketown map, offering unique cosmetic items.
Another event, “Operation: Hell Ride,” is also on the way. While its format remains a mystery, Activision teases it with the description: “The clock is ticking and only the most daring action heroes can hope to save the day before everything goes ka-boom.”
Black Ops 6 Multiplayer
New Multiplayer Map
“Jackpot,” a brand-new 6v6 map, transports players to a casino setting. Developers state its design draws inspiration from both the “High Rollers” campaign mission in Black Ops 6 and the “Casino” multiplayer map from Black Ops 4.
More Game Modes
Season 5 Reloaded introduces three additional game modes to Black Ops 6: Cranked Demolition, Ransack, and Blueprint Gunfight.
Cranked Demolition is an innovative new mode that merges the objectives of Demolition with the fast-paced “Cranked” mechanics. Players in these matches must constantly manage a 30-second timer, requiring a continuous chain of kills, bomb plants, and defuses to reset it and prevent self-explosion.
Ransack, previously a limited-time mode in Black Ops 6, makes its return. In this mode, two teams compete to steal gold bars and deposit them into their team`s stash to earn points. Blueprint Gunfight offers a 2v2 experience, showcasing a diverse array of weapon blueprints.
Black Ops 6 Zombies
For Black Ops 6`s final Zombies map, “Reckoning,” Season 5 Reloaded introduces “Director mode.” This mode provides guided assistance for completing the main-story Easter egg. Successfully finishing Reckoning in Directed mode will reward players with an exclusive calling card, a “Keepsake” weapon charm, and bonus XP.
“Team Cranked” also returns as a limited-time Zombies game mode. It adapts the “Cranked” mechanics from multiplayer, challenging players to string together kills to stay alive and reset their 30-second timer to prevent exploding.
Furthermore, the mid-season update will bring new leaderboard challenges for players to conquer.
Warzone
For Warzone`s mid-season update, the primary new feature is “Deadline,” a new limited-time mode. This mode pits 100 players, divided into squads of four, against each other on the Verdansk map.
Deadline features unlimited respawns, but demands constant proactivity from players. As each circle collapses, the lowest-scoring squads are eliminated. Crucially, every new circle resets the accumulated score for all teams, requiring players to continuously earn points through enemy eliminations, contract completions, supply looting, and spending at Buy Stations.
As an added bonus, Activision is granting 20 free Battle Pass tier skips to any player who logs into Black Ops 6 or Warzone from now until September 16th.
Looking ahead, Black Ops 6 is scheduled for launch on November 14th across PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC. A multiplayer beta for the game is also planned for October.
