The latest update for Borderlands 4 brings significant improvements, primarily focusing on enhancing player weaponry. Gearbox, the developer, indicated a commitment to precise gear modifications, beginning with several Legendary-tier weapons. These coveted items, despite their unique attributes, often felt underwhelming in combat. Therefore, their overall power has been substantially boosted.
A prime illustration of these changes is the Hellwalker, a Jakobs “fire-and-forget” shotgun originally from Borderlands 3, which bears a striking resemblance to the Doom Slayer`s Super Shotgun. It now boasts a 30% increase in base damage, allowing it to efficiently dispatch common enemies, especially when combined with a Jakobs mod and relevant character skills. Similarly, the Torgue-manufactured pistol, Queen`s Rest, will now fire 50% faster, and its distinctive perk, which spawns a homing sticky projectile, will trigger more frequently, jumping from a 30% to a 50% chance.
Further notable adjustments include boosted damage and fire rates for Ruby`s Grasp. The drone deployed by the Bully weapon now inflicts 50% more damage, and Convergence`s base damage has seen a 25% increase. For players still seeking these powerful Legendary items, they can be acquired by defeating bosses across Kairos or potentially found in Maurice`s Black Market vending machine.
Maurice`s vending machine provides exclusive Legendary gear, offering a chance to purchase these enhanced weapons with ideal statistical rolls. Alternatively, players can try their luck with Golden Treasure Chests, which frequently contain Legendary items. Golden Keys to open these chests can be obtained via Borderlands 4 Shift Codes.
Gearbox has also implemented various other fixes. For instance, the legendary Tediore shotgun Anarchy now correctly grants Mutualism stacks upon auto-reloading or enemy eliminations. Additionally, Vex the Siren`s Bleed skill is now properly categorized as status effect damage. A comprehensive list of these patch notes is provided below. Next week, Gearbox plans to release another update concentrating on refining Class Mods, Repkits, Shields, and Firmware. Addressing persistent performance issues since launch and introducing highly requested quality-of-life enhancements are also priorities for the upcoming patch.
