Black Ops 7: Limited Cosmetics & Content Transfer from Black Ops 6 Confirmed

Activision has officially announced that only a select range of content from Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be transferable to the upcoming Black Ops 7. This limited “Carry Forward” program specifically includes certain operator skins from Black Ops 6`s Zombies mode, which are awarded upon completing main quest objectives. Additionally, the unique operator skin for Samuels, earned by reaching Prestige Level 1000 in Black Ops 6, is also confirmed to carry over. Players who pre-order Black Ops 7 will also find the exclusive “Guild Override” camo skin available in both titles.

Initially, Activision had indicated a more comprehensive carry-forward system, suggesting that a significant portion of Black Ops 6 skins and other purchased items would be available in Black Ops 7. However, this commitment was later scaled back. The company clarified that the majority of paid cosmetic items and character skins would not transfer. This decision was explained as a way to ensure Black Ops 7 maintains its “authenticity” and remains true to its specific thematic setting, a move largely seen as a response to community discussions regarding the increasingly fantastical and unusual nature of some Call of Duty cosmetics.

While the transfer of cosmetic items is restricted, certain functional in-game benefits will still make the leap to Black Ops 7. Players can expect their accumulated Double XP tokens and specialized GobbleGums for the Zombies mode to be fully available in the new game. It is important to emphasize that these revised carry-forward policies are exclusive to Black Ops 7. Content from Black Ops 6, including most skins, weapons, and operators, will continue to be fully supported and transferable into Call of Duty: Warzone.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is slated for its official release on November 14. Prior to the full launch, enthusiasts will have the opportunity to experience the game`s multiplayer components during an open beta period, which is anticipated to commence in early October.
