Developer Game Science is rolling out a massive update for Black Myth: Wukong, which will first arrive on PlayStation 5 on October 13, gradually becoming available for Xbox Series X|S and PC afterwards. Players are advised that the file size will be exceptionally large, potentially requiring significant free disk space.
According to Game Science, the PS5 patch alone will demand 93.5 GB of free storage. If players lack sufficient space for the update, they might need to delete and reinstall the entire game. PC users are also recommended to allocate ample disk space and uninstall any mods to prevent compatibility issues during installation.
The update primarily focuses on performance optimization and bug fixes. Earlier patches had already addressed graphics issues on Xbox Series X, aiming for parity with PC and PS5 versions. The developers have acknowledged that porting the game to Xbox consoles proved unexpectedly challenging.
Earlier this year, Game Science announced a Black Myth sequel titled Zhong Kui, though its release window remains undisclosed. The comprehensive list of changes for Black Myth: Wukong version 1.0.20.21756 includes:
