Beastro: The Perfect Blend of Cooking, Farming, and Monster Combat

Imagine a blend of relaxing cooking simulations and intense monster battles. The result? A cleverly named game called Beastro, from Timberline Studios. This forthcoming game offers a unique twist on the adventure genre by integrating cooking mechanics, relaxed farming, and strategic deck-building battles. In Beastro, the journey to save the world starts with the culinary art of crafting the ideal dish.

Slated for a 2026 release on Steam and Xbox Series X|S, Beastro will also be available on Xbox Game Pass from day one. The game centers on Panko, a youthful fox who unexpectedly assumes control of a village restaurant following the enigmatic disappearance of his culinary mentor.

Assuming the role of Panko, players will oversee the restaurant, cultivate farm ingredients, gather provisions from the wilderness, and cater to the local inhabitants. However, Panko`s responsibilities extend further: he must nourish the Caretakers, brave adventurers who serve as the ultimate bulwark against menacing dangers lurking outside the village perimeter. A preview of the game can be seen in the trailer below.

Each Caretaker hails from a distinct `flavor region,` which dictates their gastronomic preferences and combat approach. While some adventurers favor sweet concoctions, others yearn for savory or pungent dishes. By excelling in various cooking mini-games and meticulously preparing meals tailored to each adventurer`s specific palate, players can enhance the Caretakers` prowess, unlock fresh cards for their deck, and ready them for impending conflicts. Superior meals directly translate to greater combat effectiveness for the Caretakers against formidable monstrous adversaries.

Subsequent to each expedition, the narrative unfolds through a captivating puppet show, vividly re-enacting the Caretakers` escapades. These turn-based combat sequences demand strategic foresight and strikingly demonstrate the profound effect of the previously prepared meals. Upon their return, the Caretakers deliver the hard-won spoils, which Panko can then utilize for subsequent culinary creations.

Interested players have the option to add the game to their wishlist or sign up for updates via the official website.
