The official schedule for Tokyo Game Show 2025 has been revealed, confirming that EA will host a dedicated event to provide an in-depth look at Battlefield 6`s single-player campaign. This highly anticipated presentation is set for September 26 at 1 PM Tokyo local time (midnight EST). It will feature lead developers Philippe Ducharme and Roman Campos-Oriola, along with the game`s English voice actors, as reported by Gematsu.
Given that much of the attention on Battlefield 6 has previously focused on its multiplayer modes, fans are eagerly anticipating more details about the storyline. EA Motive is undertaking the development of the campaign, drawing significant inspiration from critically acclaimed works such as the war film “Civil War” and Taylor Sheridan`s drama “Lioness.”
A previous Battlefield 6 trailer offered an early glimpse into the campaign, commencing with the US President addressing the nation. In his address, he warned of a “monstrous, unprovoked attack” and emphatically stated that “no country is safe.” The trailer prominently showcased numerous global locations, including iconic scenes of New York City, hinting at the game`s expansive scope.
Campos-Oriola emphasized that a core thematic element for the Battlefield 6 campaign is exploring how “talented but ordinary people find themselves in extraordinary circumstances.” He further noted, “This creates a very intriguing dynamic in character relationships. These are the crucial aspects we aim to convey and develop within the single-player mode, offering players a deeply immersive narrative experience.”
Philippe Ducharme mentioned that while EA Motive previously worked on the 2023 Dead Space remake, a title that is “obviously very different” from the Battlefield franchise, their underlying objective remained consistent. Their goal was to meticulously craft a compelling “tension curve,” skillfully alternating between “highs and lows to keep players profoundly engaged and captivated throughout the narrative.”
Battlefield 6 is scheduled for release on October 10 for a wide range of platforms, including PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Although the full game is not yet available for play, dedicated players can currently earn early rewards for Battlefield 6 by actively participating and progressing within Battlefield 2042.
