Battlefield 6 Season 1: Exploring New Maps and Vehicles

The inaugural season of Battlefield 6 introduces three additional multiplayer maps to the game. Among these are two entirely new, expansive battlegrounds, alongside a themed iteration of a previously existing map. Accompanying these new environments are additional vehicles to aid in traversal, notably including an unexpected golf cart. This guide details all the fresh maps and vehicles available in Battlefield 6 Season 1.

It`s worth noting that this downloadable content (DLC) for maps and vehicles will not all be accessible immediately at the start of Season 1; the developers are implementing the content in three distinct stages. Season 1 commences with the `Rogue Ops` update, currently live on all platforms. The `California Resistance` phase is slated for November 18, with the `Winter Offensive` following on December 9.

Below, we provide an initial overview of all three maps.

Season 1 begins with the Rogue Ops update, which unveils the new Blackwell Fields map. This is a vast map situated on a large oil field in California, offering ample open terrain ideal for snipers and long-range engagements. Various structures, such as oil wells and construction equipment, provide cover across the map.

Blackwell Fields features the standard array of vehicles, including helicopters, planes, and tanks. It also introduces the season`s first new vehicle: the APC Traverser Mark 2. This armored land vehicle accommodates four occupants: a driver, a roof gunner, and two backseat passengers who operate as side gunners.

The second phase, arriving in November, is `California Resistance`, bringing the combat to the suburban setting of the Eastwood map. Here, Pax Armata attacks a Southern California town, with skirmishes unfolding within and around residential homes, through backyards, and even across a golf course. The houses offer abundant cover for close-quarters battles, while the golf course provides open ground for extended range conflicts.

Notably, Eastwood introduces the golf cart as a novel vehicle for the map. Upon its launch in November, players will be able to utilize golf carts to navigate the map, potentially leading to some unique battlefield scenarios.

The third and final phase of Season 1 is themed around the winter holiday period. For this seasonal content, Battlefield 6 adds a winter-themed variation of the Empire State map. This is primarily a visual overhaul, blanketing the New York map in ice and snow.

As of now, no new vehicle has been announced specifically for the Winter Offensive update.
