Battlefield 6: Resolution and Frame Rate Targets Revealed for Consoles and PC

EA and Battlefield Studios have officially disclosed the anticipated performance benchmarks for the upcoming Battlefield 6 across its various platforms. This announcement outlines the expected graphical fidelity and frame rates for players on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

The game will feature distinct “Fidelity” and “Performance” modes on Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 5 Pro. These options allow players to either prioritize a higher visual resolution or aim for smoother gameplay with an increased frame rate. The Xbox Series S, however, will operate at a singular maximum graphical setting, without offering alternative display modes.

For players on the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5, the Fidelity mode is designed to deliver a maximum resolution of 1440p, targeting a consistent 60 frames per second (fps). The Performance mode on these consoles shifts focus to frame rate, aiming for over 80fps at a resolution of 1280p.

The PlayStation 5 Pro takes these specifications to the next level. In its Fidelity mode, the game will target a stunning 2160p (4K) resolution at 60fps. For those seeking even greater fluidity, the Performance mode on the PS5 Pro is set to achieve over 80fps at a resolution of 1620p. It is important to note that these are maximum target specifications, and actual in-game performance may vary based on gameplay scenarios.

PC enthusiasts will enjoy the most flexible experience, with Battlefield 6 capable of reaching 4K (2160p) resolution and 144fps under official settings. High-end PC setups can also utilize an uncapped frame rate option for peak performance.

Battlefield 6 is scheduled for release on October 10th and will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The title is also expected to include a battle royale game mode.
