Battlefield 6 has achieved a record-breaking launch, selling over 7 million units. Despite this initial success, players have identified a notable area for improvement: the game`s intense in-game sun and the excessively bright outdoor lighting encountered when exiting structures. Many users have expressed strong dissatisfaction, prompting developers to reportedly work on a solution.
Florian Le BiHan, the principal game designer for Battlefield 6, confirmed on X (formerly Twitter) that DICE is fully aware of the lighting issues. He stated that the team is actively developing “a set of improvements in this area.” However, a specific release date for these much-anticipated enhancements was not provided.
In the interim, the dedicated player community has proactively explored various unconventional methods to mitigate the harsh glare and the subsequent loss of visual detail within the game.
For PC users seeking a more practical immediate solution, one player suggested enabling HDR on their monitor and activating HDR 1000 within Windows settings. This configuration is reported to effectively diminish or even eliminate the problematic glare.
In other related news, Battlefield Studios intends to roll out an update that will address and remove existing XP farming exploits. This same update will also introduce a boost in experience points for players who actively engage in competitive matches and complete daily challenges, promoting fairer gameplay progression.
Battlefield 6`s first season is slated to begin on October 28. The game recently reached an impressive peak of over 747,000 concurrent players. Nevertheless, the upcoming launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 on November 14 is widely anticipated to attract a significant portion of Battlefield 6`s current player base.
