Battlefield 6 Live-Action Trailer Satirizes Call of Duty’s Celebrity Focus

The Battlefield 6 community has made it abundantly clear they don`t want the game to mimic Call of Duty, especially its use of celebrity operators and cartoonish character skins. Now, it appears EA and Battlefield Studios are playfully mocking Call of Duty with a new live-action Battlefield 6 trailer. This trailer features several famous figures as soldiers, only to swiftly eliminate them in combat.

Celebrities such as Zac Efron, Jimmy Butler, Morgan Wallen, and Paddy Pimblett portray themselves, demonstrating their expendability on multiple levels. This video seemingly harks back to Call of Duty`s “There`s A Soldier In All Of Us” trailer series, which also showcased various celebrities like Sam Worthington, Jonah Hill, and Dwight Howard. However, those celebrity operators faced a much easier scenario compared to the urban chaos and destructible environments depicted in the Battlefield 6 footage.

Battlefield 6 previously released a campaign launch trailer that emphasized how the destruction of buildings can dramatically alter gameplay. Another trailer highlighted Battlefield 6`s Portal mode, an innovative feature that gives players tools to create custom maps, injecting even more unpredictable chaos into battles.

Rebecka Coutaz, the head of DICE, recently stated her commitment to delivering a significantly improved Battlefield experience, aiming to rectify the disappointing reception of Battlefield 2042. Following a hands-on preview, initial impressions of the game have been shared. Fans can look forward to experiencing Battlefield 6 for themselves when it launches on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on October 10.
