The exclusive Battlefield Labs testing initiative for Battlefield 6 is set to resume this week, building on the recent conclusion of the highly popular open beta earlier this month.
According to a leaked document, the upcoming Battlefield Labs session is scheduled to commence on Friday, August 29, and will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. This next phase of testing will introduce a host of new features, notably a server browser and significantly larger maps.
Participants of prior Labs tests conducted before the open beta will automatically be included in subsequent testing rounds. Newcomers, however, must apply for the Labs program and await selection. Information on how to sign up for Labs will be made available.
All individuals accepted into the Labs program are required to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA), strictly prohibiting the online sharing of gameplay footage. Despite these restrictions, previous Labs tests saw numerous leaks of content, a trend widely anticipated to continue with this forthcoming testing phase.
Battlefield 6 is slated for release on October 10 across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. This title marks the series` first major installment since the critically panned Battlefield 2042 in 2021. While initial community reception for Battlefield 6 appears largely positive, it remains premature to confidently predict its launch success.
