Even before its servers officially went live on August 7, the open beta for Battlefield 6 garnered significant attention. On August 4, the day preloading became available, Insider Gaming reported a peak of nearly 10,000 simultaneous users on Steam alone, despite players not yet being able to access the game.
This substantial early engagement, purely from preloading on a single platform, strongly suggests that the upcoming open beta is poised for a considerable turnout. Preloading is also accessible via PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and the EA app, meaning the Steam figures represent only a fraction of the overall enthusiastic audience.
The Battlefield 6 open beta officially commences on August 7 for an exclusive group, including those who registered for Battlefield Labs by July 31, EA Play Pro subscribers, and individuals who received a code through Twitch streamer viewership. General public access to the beta will then be available from August 9-10, with a second open weekend scheduled for August 14-17.
The full release of Battlefield 6 is set for October 10 across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. This launch date positions the game approximately a month ahead of the rumored November 14 release of Activision`s Call of Duty: Black Ops 7.
