Battlefield 2042: Upcoming Patch Brings Battle Pass Tier Skipping and More

The “Road to Battlefield 6” battle pass, recently introduced in Battlefield 2042, has seen a positive reception. Its inclusion of various cosmetic items transferable to the highly anticipated Battlefield 6 has naturally led to an increase in player engagement. Responding to this revitalized community, EA has scheduled a minor hotfix update for release tomorrow, September 9.

A primary concern among players has been related to progression mechanics. Specifically, certain weekly missions, such as those requiring actions with the M1 Garand in All Out Warfare, were not correctly registering progress. Additionally, some players found the effort required to unlock free cosmetic rewards excessive. To address this, a “Tier Skip” function will be implemented, enabling players to purchase their way through battle pass ranks, though this feature often sparks debate within the gaming community. The upcoming hotfix also includes adjustments to weapon and gadget balance, resolves a Playercard display error, and refreshes the Team Deathmatch playlist.

Players have until October 7 to complete the “Road to Battlefield 6” battle pass, just before the game`s official launch on October 10. The patch rolling out tomorrow is expected to streamline the process, making it simpler for players to reach Tier 60.
