This December, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is set to receive a substantial update. Ubisoft announced that on December 5th, the game will introduce a highly anticipated third-person mode and New Game Plus. This timing aligns perfectly with the release of the new movie, Avatar: Fire and Ash, scheduled for December 19th.
The new third-person mode will offer players a fresh perspective on the vast world of Pandora. The development team at Massive Entertainment has meticulously redesigned animations, controls, audio, and camera systems to seamlessly integrate this new viewpoint, enhancing the overall gameplay experience.
Meanwhile, New Game Plus provides a compelling reason for players to revisit the narrative. Similar to other New Game+ implementations, players can opt to restart the campaign while retaining all their accumulated inventory and skills. Furthermore, this mode introduces a brand new skill tree and grants access to more powerful gear, encouraging deeper exploration and strategic gameplay.
Frontiers of Pandora is currently available on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. Additionally, the game is included as part of the Ubisoft+ subscription service.
Fire and Ash marks the latest installment in James Cameron`s renowned Avatar film series. It faces high expectations, as its predecessors, the original Avatar (2009) and its 2022 sequel The Way of Water, stand as the first and third highest-grossing films in cinema history, with box office revenues of $2.923 billion and $2.320 billion respectively.
