Attack on Titan: Final Season Steelbook Blu-ray Back in Stock with Discount

Amazon has replenished its preorders for the complete Steelbook edition of Attack on Titan: Final Season. This much-sought-after collectible Blu-ray set initially sold out rapidly upon its release last month. Now, enthusiasts have another opportunity to secure their copy at a reduced price. The Attack on Titan: Final Season Complete Steelbook is currently available for preorder on Amazon for $55.36, a significant markdown from its original $70, ahead of its November 25 release. In addition, Amazon has also brought back the Limited Edition Steelbooks for Season 1 and Season 3, offering them at substantially discounted rates.

If Amazon`s preorders become unavailable again, the Crunchyroll Store is also accepting preorders for $56. Walmart similarly lists the item, but at its full manufacturer`s suggested retail price of $70.

Even at its $70 retail price, the Attack on Titan: Final Season package represents excellent value. Parts 1-3 were originally launched individually, each priced between $65-$70, and did not include steelbook cases. Purchasing the standard editions of all three parts today would cost approximately $122. Given that the fourth and conclusive season of Attack on Titan was broadcast in three segments over nearly three years, this Complete Steelbook Edition stands as the most comprehensive single Blu-ray release for the franchise. It effectively bundles several seasons` worth of content into one seven-disc collection.

The Complete Steelbook Edition comprises all 35 episodes from Attack on Titan`s three-part Final Season:

  • Part 1: 16 episodes

Attack on Titan Seasons 1-3 Steelbook Editions
Attack on Titan Seasons 1-3 Steelbook Editions

The first three seasons of Attack on Titan received new Steelbook Edition Blu-rays last December, each originally priced at $70. Unfortunately, the artwork on these older editions does not align with the design of the forthcoming Final Season Steelbook. Another challenge, for those who do not yet own them, is their limited availability. As of October 1, the Season 1 Steelbook Edition is available for $40 (reduced from $70) at Amazon and Walmart. The Season 2 Steelbook is currently only purchasable from resellers, while Season 3 can be acquired for $38 (reduced from $70) at Amazon or $40 at Walmart.

Attack on Titan Seasons 1-3 – Limited Edition Steelbooks (Blu-ray)

  • Season 1$40 ($70)
  • Season 2 — $52.49 ($70) (Reseller price)
  • Season 3$38 ($70)

Attack on Titan Standard Editions

Standard edition box sets are also available for the initial three seasons. At present, the prices for Seasons 1 and 3 are quite close to their respective Steelbook Editions. However, the Limited Edition for Season 2 is offered for just $45 (a reduction from $85). This version includes a 60-page art book and a 24-page digibook. Interestingly, the standard edition of Season 2 is currently more expensive than its Steelbook counterpart.

Attack on Titan Seasons 1-4: Complete Editions (Blu-ray)

Each Blu-ray listed below contains a complete season of Attack on Titan.

  • Season 1 — $35.70 ($60)
  • Season 2 — $34.12 ($50)
  • Season 2 – Limited — $45 ($85)
  • Season 3 — $35 ($60)
  • Season 4 – Steelbook — $55.36 ($70)

Just like the Final Season, Seasons 1 and 3 were initially released in multiple parts. While Season 1 can still be purchased in two parts on Blu-ray, opting for the complete version is almost always more economical.

  • Season 1, Part 1 — $25 ($50)
  • Season 1, Part 2 — $25.49 ($50)

The original 34-volume Attack on Titan manga series has been compiled into several budget-friendly editions over the years. For newcomers who wish to experience both the manga and then the anime, an engaging approach is to read the Attack on Titan manga box sets and subsequently watch the corresponding anime seasons. The manga box sets are named according to the narrative events covered in the anime.

Each box set is presented in a slipcase and includes exclusive bonuses, detailed below. Significantly, the box sets for Seasons 3-4 each contain an additional book featuring exclusive Attack on Titan short stories. Currently, acquiring the complete collection of seven Attack on Titan box sets would cost approximately $240.

Attack on Titan Manga: Paperback Box Sets (Vol. 1-34)

  • Season 1: Part 1 (Vol. 1-4) — $22.69 ($44) | Bonus: 2 Sticker Sheets
  • Season 1: Part 2 (Vol. 5-8) — $35.51 ($44) | Bonus: 2 Sticker Sheets
  • Season 2 (Vol. 9-12) — $27.14 ($44) | Bonus: Reversible Poster

Attack on Titan Manga: Omnibus Editions

Another economical approach to collecting Attack on Titan in physical format is to acquire the 12 Omnibus Editions, generally priced at $20 or less each. While these Omnibus Editions do not come with additional bonuses, these substantial paperbacks are often favored for their larger page dimensions and embossed cover artwork. The first ten Omnibus Editions each contain 576 pages and compile three volumes. Omnibus 11 (384 pages) and 12 (448 pages) each consist of two volumes.

The combined manufacturer`s suggested retail price (MSRP) for all 12 Omnibus Editions ($240) is significantly lower than the combined MSRP of the box sets ($374). With current deals available on Amazon, purchasing all 12 Omnibus Editions would total just under $190, resulting in an approximate saving of $50 compared to the box sets.

  • Omnibus 1 (Vol. 1-3) — $12.90 ($20)
  • Omnibus 2 (Vol. 4-6) — $18.59 ($20)
  • Omnibus 3 (Vol. 7-9) — $14 ($20)
  • Omnibus 4 (Vol. 10-12) — $16.43 ($20)
  • Omnibus 5 (Vol. 13-15) — $14 ($20)
  • Omnibus 6 (Vol. 16-18) — $16.87 ($20)
  • Omnibus 7 (Vol. 19-21) — $17 ($20)
  • Omnibus 8 (Vol. 22-24) — $16 ($20)
  • Omnibus 9 (Vol. 25-27) — $18.59 ($20)
