Помимо исправления ошибок и добавления подготовительной миссии для грядущего дополнения Claws of Awaji (выход 16 сентября), патч вводит в Animus Hub новый элемент – Убежище (Sanctuary). Здесь игроки найдут неожиданный, но желанный сюрприз: кота-компаньона, одетого как легендарный ассасин Эцио Аудиторе да Фиренце.
Проект “Убежище” в Animus Hub позволяет разблокировать четыре предмета, вдохновленных итальянским ассасином, включая “Кота-с-Крыши” (Rooftop Cat) — белого кота в облачении Эцио. Есть надежда, что игроки смогут не только проводить время с этим новым Эцио-котом, но и призывать его, произнося “requiescat in pspsps”.
Проекты в Animus Hub функционируют по принципу “боевого пропуска” Assassin`s Creed: игровой опыт позволяет разблокировать косметические предметы, которые можно использовать в основной игре. Полный список предметов, доступных в рамках пропуска Project Sanctuary:

Assassin`s Creed Shadows Update 1.1.1: Ezio Cat Companion and DLC Preparation
Ubisoft has released Update 1.1.1 for Assassin`s Creed Shadows today. This patch not only addresses various bugs and introduces a preparatory mission for the upcoming “Claws of Awaji” expansion (launching September 16th), but also adds a delightful new feature to the Animus Hub: the Sanctuary. Within the Sanctuary, players can discover an unexpected yet highly anticipated companion: a cat dressed as the iconic Assassin`s Creed hero, Ezio Auditore da Firenze.
The “Sanctuary” project within the Animus Hub offers players the chance to unlock four Ezio-themed items. Among these coveted rewards is the “Rooftop Cat,” a charming white feline sporting Ezio`s signature robes. Players are eager for the possibility of interacting with this unique “Ezio cat,” perhaps even summoning it with a playful “requiescat in pspsps.”
These Animus Hub projects function similarly to a “battle pass” in Assassin`s Creed, where accumulating in-game experience grants access to cosmetic items usable throughout the main game. The complete list of items obtainable through the Project Sanctuary pass includes:
- Eagle Head Kurasigama
- Renaissance Robe and Hood
- Rooftop Cat Pet
- Charm of Firenze Trinket
Furthermore, Update 1.1.1 for Assassin`s Creed Shadows introduces a new bo staff weapon, obtainable during the aforementioned setup mission for the upcoming DLC. The patch also includes several bug fixes, such as enhanced customization options for the Hideout and the removal of repetitive tutorials that occurred after initially unlocking Yasuke.
