In an unexpected collaboration, the popular social deduction game Among Us is teaming up with the fantasy RPG Genshin Impact. This partnership will introduce Paimon, Genshin Impact`s beloved companion (and “emergency food”), to the Emergency Meetings within Among Us. This free cosmetic update will be accessible starting September 10.
Exclusive Free Paimon Cosmetics
Players will receive three distinct Paimon-themed cosmetic items for Among Us: a unique wig, a complete Paimon costume, and a special “Crest of the Best Travel Companion” nameplate. These coveted items are entirely free and can be claimed by simply logging into Among Us during a specific window, between September 10 and October 10. It is crucial to note that after this limited promotional period, these exclusive items will no longer be obtainable.
Coinciding with Genshin Impact`s `Luna I` Update 6.0
This exciting crossover event is strategically timed to coincide with Genshin Impact`s significant new update, dubbed `Luna I` by HoYoVerse, which will advance the game to version 6.0. This extensive update introduces a brand-new, moon-themed region known as Nod-Krai. This dangerous autonomous territory, located in the southernmost reaches of Snezhnaya, is depicted as a remnant of a celestial body, promising new mysteries and challenges for players to explore.
Furthermore, the `Luna I` update will unveil a new Archon quest, advancing the overarching narrative of Teyvat, and introduce three new formidable characters for players to potentially acquire:
- Lauma, a 5-Star Dendro Catalyst user.
- Flins, a 5-Star Electro Polearm user.
- Aino, a 4-Star Hydro Claymore user.
Innersloth`s Tradition of Creative Collaborations
While a partnership between the distinct worlds of Among Us and Genshin Impact might initially seem unconventional, such unique crossovers are not uncommon for Innersloth, the development studio behind Among Us. The game has a history of integrating diverse visual styles and themes through previous events. For instance, Among Us previously hosted a Destiny 2-themed event, introducing a markedly different aesthetic. Additionally, the iconic Crewmates and Imposters have made guest appearances in other games, including the quirky titles What The Golf and What The Car, demonstrating Innersloth`s penchant for imaginative collaborations across various gaming universes.
