Amazon Offers Major Discounts on Spider-Man 4K Blu-Ray Sets

Now, with a new Spider-Man film in production, it`s an excellent time to revisit the older movies featuring everyone`s favorite web-slinger. On Amazon, a new 4K Blu-ray bundle of the two “The Amazing Spider-Man” films, starring Andrew Garfield as the iconic hero, is available. This set, originally priced at $50, is now offered for just $29.49. The bundle is currently in stock and includes digital streaming codes for each film.

Following the release of Sam Raimi`s “Spider-Man 3” in 2007, the superhero franchise went into a brief hiatus. This pause ended with the launch of “The Amazing Spider-Man” in 2012, followed by its sequel in 2014. The native 4K (2160p) resolution for these Spidey movies is excellent, and for audio, the discs provide Dolby Atmos support, which performs remarkably well through a surround sound system.

The only drawback is the limited amount of bonus content. Both discs include a cast-and-crew photo gallery option and “categorized” moments for quick navigation, but to access other special features, you`ll need the standard Blu-ray releases of these Spider-Man films.

Overall, these Spider-Man movies are decent at best, but they don`t achieve the groundbreaking success of the Sam Raimi trilogy starring Tobey Maguire or the recent MCU Spidey films with Tom Holland under the mask, which benefit from their Marvel Cinematic Universe connections. “The Amazing Spider-Man” is a passable retelling of Peter Parker`s origin story with some puzzling deviations from the established narrative, while “The Amazing Spider-Man 2” is an overstuffed attempt to set up a Sinister Six movie.

Nevertheless, the films were notable for Andrew Garfield`s portrayal of Peter Parker/Spider-Man, along with an outstanding supporting cast that included Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, Denis Leary, Martin Sheen, Sally Field, Jamie Foxx, Dane DeHaan, and many other great actors.

If you`re looking to expand your collection, numerous other Spider-Man Blu-rays are currently available at discounted prices. There`s a great 4K bundle deal on the Sam Raimi-directed Spider-Man films for $46 (originally $76), or you can grab a standard Blu-ray bundle of the recent MCU Spider-Man movies for $26 (originally $56). The two animated Spider-Verse movies are also highly recommended, and you can get their Collector`s Edition Blu-ray for $84 (originally $97). Lego is also releasing a new series of minifigures themed around “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse” on September 1, which are now available for preorder.

We`ve also listed the individual 4K versions of these modern Spider-Man films, in case you only need one or two to complete your collection.

On the animated front, you can find several DVDs of classic Spider-Man TV shows. “Spectacular Spider-Man” remains one of the best of all time—partly due to its fantastic intro track—and MTV`s attempt to capitalize on the box-office success of the 2002 “Spider-Man” movie with a slightly edgier take on the character is still fascinating to watch, even if it can be a bit cheesy at times.

For something aimed at younger audiences, there`s also the first season of “Spidey And His Amazing Friends,” a charming series about young, spider-themed heroes with unusually large heads.
