Amazon is transforming its Luna cloud gaming service with exciting new social features like GameNight, an expanded game library featuring blockbuster titles, and an enhanced overall user experience set to launch later this year.
Amazon is revamping its Luna cloud gaming service, which has been available to Prime members for three years, offering free game streaming on PCs and TVs. The company recently unveiled an upcoming overhaul that will introduce enhanced social features and a wider selection of games later this year.
Introducing GameNight: Social Gaming Reimagined
A key addition to the redesigned Luna is `GameNight,` a new feature offering multiplayer games controlled directly via mobile phones. This collection will feature digital versions of popular board games such as Taboo and Clue, well-known party games like Exploding Kittens, and innovative new titles like Courtroom Chaos: Starring Snoop Dogg, where participants aim to sway Judge Snoop Dogg by crafting compelling narratives and assigning blame to others.
Expanded Game Library
The game library on Luna is set to expand significantly with the overhaul. Upcoming titles announced include highly anticipated releases such as Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, and Dave the Diver. Luna Premium subscribers will also receive access to an even broader selection of games, including fan favorites like Lego DC Super-Villains, Team Sonic Racing, and Batman: Arkham Knight.
Luna`s Journey So Far
Amazon Luna officially launched in March 2022, following a trial phase that began in October 2020. Users can play Luna games on various devices, including tablets, smartphones, PCs, and smart TVs, utilizing any Bluetooth-enabled controller. Amazon also released a dedicated Luna controller specifically designed for the service prior to its initial soft launch.
