The iconic “A Nightmare on Elm Street” horror franchise is now available in a complete 7-Film 4K Blu-ray collection, perfectly timed for the spooky season. While Wes Craven`s original 1984 masterpiece received its standalone 4K release last year, this new comprehensive set brings the entire saga into stunning 4K resolution for the very first time. Upon its launch on September 30th, the collection was priced at $97.
Fans eager for an exclusive edition may be disappointed, as the highly anticipated Amazon-exclusive Steelbook Library Collection swiftly sold out and is unlikely to be restocked.
What`s Included in the Collection
This definitive collection features both 4K Blu-ray and Movies Anywhere digital editions of the following terrifying films:
- A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984): Theatrical & Uncut versions
- Freddy`s Revenge (1985)
- Dream Warriors (1987)
- The Dream Master (1988)
- The Dream Child (1989): Theatrical & Uncut versions
- Freddy`s Dead: The Final Nightmare (1991)
- Wes Craven`s New Nightmare (1994)
It`s worth noting that the original 1984 film was previously released as a standalone 4K Blu-ray edition last autumn, which can still be acquired for approximately $20, with a Limited Edition Steelbook also available for about $30.
While “Freddy`s Dead: The Final Nightmare” (1991) traditionally marks the conclusion of the original series, the collection thoughtfully includes “Wes Craven`s New Nightmare” (1994), a meta-horror film that reimagines Freddy Krueger as a fictional villain stepping into the real world.
Technical Specifications and Bonus Content
Each of the seven films in this collection is presented in native 4K (2160p) resolution, enhanced with HDR10 support for superior visual fidelity. For an immersive audio experience, the set offers multiple options, including Dolby Atmos, Dolby TrueHD 7.1, and DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0.
Adding a unique touch, the box set contains a pair of 3D glasses, intended for use with specific sequences in “Freddy`s Dead: The Final Nightmare.” Beyond the films, bonus on-disc content includes the uncut versions of “A Nightmare on Elm Street” and “The Dream Child,” alongside all the special features previously available on the standard Blu-ray editions of each movie. It should be noted that these bonus materials are presented in 1080p resolution and do not support HDR.

The Amazon-exclusive Steelbook Library Collection, which quickly became unavailable, was a highly limited run of only 4,000 sets. This premium edition featured individual steelbook cases for each film, adorned with unique stylized artwork, all elegantly housed within a large metal display case. Each set also came with a numbered certificate of authenticity, making it a highly collectible item for dedicated fans who managed to secure one.
