Fans of the iconic horror franchise, “A Nightmare on Elm Street,” will be pleased to learn that a standard 4K Blu-ray collection is now available for preorder. This comes as a welcome announcement following the swift sell-out of the exclusive $175 Steelbook Library Collection, which launched for preorder on June 11.
The standard “A Nightmare on Elm Street: 7-Film Collection” on 4K Blu-ray is priced at $105 and is scheduled for release on September 30. This collection marks the first time six entries in the beloved series will be available in stunning 4K resolution.
What`s Included in the 4K Collection?
This comprehensive collection features all seven films in the original “A Nightmare on Elm Street” saga, presented on 4K Blu-ray discs with accompanying digital versions (supporting Movies Anywhere). The included titles are:
- A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984): Includes both Theatrical & Uncut versions
- Freddy`s Revenge (1985)
- Dream Warriors (1987)
- The Dream Master (1988)
- The Dream Child (1989): Includes both Theatrical & Uncut versions
- Freddy`s Dead: The Final Nightmare (1991)
- Wes Craven`s New Nightmare (1994)
It`s worth noting that the original 1984 film had a standalone 4K Blu-ray release last fall. All films in this new collection are presented in native 4K (2160p) resolution with HDR10 support, ensuring a visually immersive experience. For audio, the collection offers Dolby Atmos, Dolby TrueHD 7.1, and DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 tracks, bringing Freddy Krueger`s terrifying soundscapes to life.
A unique addition to the set is a pair of 3D glasses, designed for use with specific sequences in “Freddy`s Dead: The Final Nightmare.” Beyond the main features, the collection includes the uncut versions of the original film and “The Dream Child,” alongside all special features from the standard Blu-ray editions of each film. These bonus features are presented in 1080p resolution and do not support HDR.
The Exclusive Steelbook Edition

While the standard collection is now available for preorder, the Amazon-exclusive “A Nightmare on Elm Street: 7-Film Steelbook Library Collection,” originally priced at $175, remains temporarily out of stock. Limited to only 4,000 units, this premium set features individual steelbook cases for each movie, housed in a large metal display case, and comes with a numbered certificate of authenticity. Fans hoping to snag this limited edition should monitor for potential restocks.
This release continues a trend of exclusive 4K Blu-ray collector`s sets for major franchises, a strategy seen recently with the James Bond, Dark Knight, and Superman collections. While these limited editions tend to sell out quickly, the availability of a standard 4K collection for “A Nightmare on Elm Street” ensures that all fans have an opportunity to own these horror classics in their best visual quality yet.
