Lara Croft 2013 Tomb Raider Top Ten Moments Gameplay Video (Developer Diary)

Lara Croft 2013 Tomb Raider Bones Gameplay Screenshot

So awesome!

What are Lara Croft’s 2013 Top Ten Moments of Tomb Raider 2013 (Xbox 360, PS3, PC)? This video gives you a look at them.

I absolutely can’t wait to play this game. It looks so amazing IMHO. I was hoping I’d be able to get my hands on a review copy, but no such luck. So I’ll have to play it some time at a later date. I hope the game sold extremely well, it deserves it IMHO. I think the developers went in a unique and fresh direction from what I’ve seen.

Deep dark little secret of mine. I’ve NEVER played a Tomb Raider game! :O *hides in closet* I’M SO ASHAMED! One day I will play all of them. I’ve always wanted too and back in the day before I was a multi-console-gamer I used to watch my cousin play the Tomb Raider games.

One day Lara… ONE DAY WE’LL MEET!

Ghosts: Call of Duty Announced. Release Date Is November 5 2013 (Xbox 360, PS3, PC, Next-Gen). New Story, Setting, Characters, Engine. Box Art, Trailer Shown

Ghosts COD Wallpaper ArtworkGhosts: Call of Duty or COD: Ghosts will be released on November 5th 2013 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC, as well as next-generation systems (which most likely means Xbox 720 and PS4. WiiU was not specifically mentioned. Does that mean the game is skipping WiiU? God let’s hope not…. If that happens it is a major, major blow to Nintendo’s next-gen system).

The newest installment in the ever-loved, ever-hated, ever-popular, phenom of a FPS series is being developed by Infinity Ward, who was responsible for the Modern Warfare series. It is not being developed by Treyarch, who is responsible for the Black Ops series. This thus continues the tradition of switching off between the two developers for the yearly COD installments.

Call of Duty: Ghosts (the official title) will feature an all-new storyline with all-new characters, a next-generation engine (for both current and next-gen consoles) and an all-new setting; although more details will be forthcoming as we speed ever-closer to E3 2013.

Activision promises that COD: Ghosts features “a riveting all-new gameplay experience built on an entirely new story, setting and cast of characters, all powered by a new, next generation Call of Duty engine that redefines the series for the next generation.”

“Everyone was expecting us to make Modern Warfare 4, which would have been the safe thing to do,” said Infinity Ward executive producer Mark Rubin, “but we’re not resting on our laurels. We saw the console transition as the perfect opportunity to start a new chapter for Call of Duty. So we’re building a new sub-brand, a new engine, and a lot of new ideas and experiences for our players. We can’t wait to share them with our community.”

“Infinity Ward set the gold standard for first-person action for a generation, and they’re going to do it again with Call of Duty: Ghosts,” said Activision Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg. “Ghosts delivers an all-new story, all-new characters, an all-new Call of Duty world, all powered by a next generation Call of Duty engine, which is a leap forward for the franchise. Infinity Ward is going all-in to create the next generation of Call of Duty worthy of the world’s greatest fans.”

Although COD: Ghosts is not a console-exclusive entry, Activision has already stated that the game WILL be shown for the Next-Xbox (Xbox 720?) on May 21st when Microsoft fully reveals and announced their new, next-gen console. So Call of Duty fans won’t have long to wait! Don’t forget to check out the official COD Ghosts Box Art.

Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection Releases June 2013 For PS3. Includes MSX Metal Gear & Metal Gear 2, MGS1, MGS2 HD, MGS3 HD, MGS4: Trophy Edition, Peace Walker HD, PS1 VR Missions And Ashley Wood MGS Novels

Metal Gear Solid Legacy Collection PS3 ArtworkMetal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection has been announced exclusively for PlayStation 3 including all core Metal Gear Solid titles.

This set includes everything a Metal Gear fan could ever want, including the original Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2 released for the MSX, where the whole story started (later part 1 was released for the NES in America. Part 2 never left Japan shores). Also included are the four core MGS games including Metal Gear Solid 1, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, and Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. Also included is the PSP Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker and the PS1 Metal Gear Solid VR Missions, along with a number of Ashley Woods Metal Gear Solid graphical novels.

To get more specific, the versions included will be the original PS1 Metal Gear Solid (no Trophy support apparently…), Metal Gear Solid 2: HD Edition, Metal Gear Solid 3 HD Edition (which includes the unlockable Metal Gear 1 & 2), Metal Gear Solid 4: Trophies Edition, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD Edition, and the PS1 Metal Gear VR Missions.

“We wanted to give Metal Gear Solid fans the opportunity to experience the series from beginning to end, all on one console,” said Tomoyuki Tsuboi, President of Konami Digital Entertainment. “With the collection’s multiple titles, players can truly see how MGS evolved into the critically acclaimed and beloved franchise it is today.”

The Metal Gear Solid series is the seminal work of Hideo Kojima, Japan’s master game creator, and the progenitor of the stealth action game genre. With more than 33 million units sold to date, the Metal Gear series has become a global phenomenon. The player controls a secret agent from an elite special forces unit who is sent on solo stealth missions through enemy installations, vast jungles, and sometimes even the thick of battle. Alone and surrounded by the enemy, even a special forces agent will find it tough to come out alive. But that is the secret behind the series’ popularity—the cerebral challenge of figuring out how to avoid combat, and the thrill of sneaking through enemy territory undetected.

Along with the gameplay, the Metal Gear Solid series is also known for its storyline, which blends seamlessly with the gameplay. The scenarios are based on extensive research and incorporate the drama of actual developments in society. These elements have made Metal Gear Solid what it is today: a mature work of entertainment that transcends national borders and the confines of video games, and one of the leading products of the Japanese content business.

I am really, really looking forward to this. Can’t wait to replay the original Metal Gear Solid (which I’ll be doing a Let’s Play for next) and finally see what all the fuss was about with Metal Gear Solid 2, MGS3 and MGS4, none of which I ever played! JUNE CAN’T COME SOON ENOUGH!

Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen Expansion Release Date Is April 23 2013 (Xbox 360, PS3). Speedrun Mode, New Missions and Areas, Full Japanese Voice Track, New Enemies And More

Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen Gameplay Screenshot of Evil

Evil personified.

Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen will be released for Xbox 360 and PS3 on April 23rd 2013 in America and Europe on April 26th for Capcom’s “Elder Scrolls”-style open-world fantasy Action RPG. This expansion pack will add a number of new features to the game while also containing the entire original game as well.

This new expansion pack will include all-new missions and areas, all-new enemies, a Speedrun Mode, tougher difficulty, the full Japanese language option and VO and more. All kinds of new content will be available for players, such as a new character named Baroque who can give you a new tier to the weapons in your party.

The focalpoint of this expansion is the new “Dark Arisen” quest, where players will get to explore an all-new location called “Bitterblack Isle”, whose evils have sucked up many adventurers who’ve dared to set foot on it. You’ll meet with an NPC (Non-Player Character) in the first town who will give you the quest and lead to the ability to sail over to the island.

Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen Expansion Box Artwork

The awesome boxart for Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen.

A major new foe you’ll encounter is Death himself, who not only wields a wicked Scythe, but will literally hunt you down throughout the game, much like Nemesis from Resident Evil 3. Thankfully any damage dealt to Death will accumulate from fight to fight, giving you some degree of hope that you may actually be able to defeat him. Just be warned that he is extremely powerful, and will deal death (natch) to your peons with one blow.

Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen Boss Fight

Another of the biggest new updates in Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen is a new texture pack that will greatly lessen load times, graphical pop-up issues and other problems (which is an optional install). The fast travel system has also been enhanced with more ferrystones available to make things easier and less frustrating to get around.

Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen, it’s worth noting, is a retail title and not a download or Downloadable Content (DLC). The reason is due to the vast amount of new content and upgrades, which go behind your typical DLC or Expansion.

However if you own the original title, you can import your save into Dark Arisen for bonus content and items that new players won’t get.

Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen will be available at a budget price of only $40.

Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen Synopsis:
Just off the Gransys mainland is the cursed Bitter black Isle where gamers will embark on an all-new quest to discover an underground realm, complete with new terrifying foes and incredible treasure. Owners of the original Dragon’s Dogma will be able to export their existing characters and all other saved data to continue their journey as the Arisen, and face a new threat that has emerged from the cavernous depths.

Players will be able to take their characters to new heights with brand new high-level skills and augments as well as all new weapons and armor sets. Furthermore, owners of the original Dragon’s Dogma will receive 100,000 Rift Crystals, unlimited Ferry stones and the Gransys Armor Pack consisting of six brand new costumes for free, upon purchasing Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen.

For those that missed Dragon’s Dogma the first time around, Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen provides the opportunity to start their journey from the very beginning before tackling the all-new content. Based on player feedback, Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen will make the Dragon’s Dogma gameplay experience even more satisfying with improvements such as easier travel and a more intuitive menu system.

For those who already own Dragon’s Dogma and then purchase Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen, these improvements will be automatically retrofitted to their original game save data.

Key Features of Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen include:
* Explore the expansive depths of Bitterblack Isle and uncover the dark force that lurks below.
* Fully compatible with your existing Dragon’s Dogma save data. Import your characters and continue your journey as the Arisen!
* 25 new terrifying new enemies to face including, Goblin Shaman, Elder Ogres, and Death himself!
* Dark Arisen provides each character class with a new higher tier of skills, giving players new devastating abilities and magicks to master.
* Includes over 100 pieces of new high level weapons and armor for players venturing into the underground caverns.
* 14 all new passive skills give players new ways to customize their character’s abilities.
* All new tiers of equipment enhancement allow players to forge the mightiest weapons and armor.
* Brand new character customization options give you even more ways to design and customize the look of your hero.
* Improvements to both the menu and travel systems provides an overall improved gaming experience.
* Also includes the full Japanese language option and VO.
* For owners of Dragon’s Dogma, Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen will include special free bonus items including 100,000 rift crystals, an all new Armor Pack consisting of 6 costumes, and an Ferrystone with unlimited uses.

Castle of illusion Featuring Mickey Mouse Remake Hits This Summer 2013 (XBLA, PSN, Steam). Remaster of the Genesis Classic

Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse Nutcracker Level Gameplay Screenshot of Genesis Original

Classic is classic.

A Castle of Illusion: Starring Mickey Mouse remake has been announced for Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network and PC via Steam. The remaster will hit this Summer! This is an exciting development, especially considering that we’re also getting DuckTales Remastered this summer too! Both of these games are classic Disney videogame masterpieces, so it is absolutely awesome to see them getting revived.

Sega will be publishing with Sega Studios Australia set as the developer. The game will be completely remastered from the ground up, including stunning new graphics and visual effects, and all-new gameplay mechanics that update the game for the modern era but will remain faithful to the original; As players step into the big black shoes of Mickey Mouse himself on a quest to save Minnie Mouse from the clutches of the evil witch Mizrabel.

The original game was released way back in 1990 for the Sega Genesis/Megadrive (also developed by Sega) to critical acclaim, with outstanding control, graphics, music and a unique feel. That was the first game in a series. It was then followed by “Land of Illusion” for Sega Master System in 1992 (ported to Sega’s Game Gear portable in 1993), and “World of Illusion” released in 1992. Finally, the last game in the series was “Legend of Illusion” released for Game Gear in 1994 (it was also ported to Master System exclusively in… BRAZIL, of all places, in 1998). Additionally, the portable version of the second Epic Mickey game was titled “Epic Mickey: Power of Illusion” for 3DS and was a reference, a tribute, to the phenomenal Illusion series.

“The original Castle of Illusion was tremendously entertaining and has a well-deserved reputation as a SEGA classic. Castle of Illusion Featuring Mickey Mouse brings this great game to a new generation,” said Chris Olson, vice president of Digital Business at SEGA of America. “Mickey is back and he looks fantastic.”

Strangely the game has not been announced for the WiiU eShop, hopefully WiiU owners will not get the shaft…

DuckTales Remastered Remakes 8bit NES Classic. Hits Xbox Live Arcade, PSN, and WiiU eShop This Summer

Ducktales Remastered Wallpaper

Soo awesome!

DuckTales Remastered remakes the 8bit NES classic that kids of the 80s know and love! This game (released in 1989) was one of my all-time favorite NES games when I was a kid, and set on the shelf next to the likes of TaleSpin and Chip N’ Dale Rescue Rangers, all great NES platformer games!

Capcom announced at PAX East 2013 that they are completely remaking this 8bit masterpiece for release this Summer on Xbox Live Arcade (XBLA), PlayStation Network (PSN) and WiiU eShop!

DuckTales Remastered seeks to take the levels and layout of the original game, but will greatly expand and update them to create essentially an all-new title in the spirit of the original. The graphics have been completely upgraded to modern-day standards, beautifully recreated with luscious hand-drawn visuals, backgrounds and animated sprites, which re-invisions the look of the 8bit classic.

In addition, and a HUGE, HUGE bullet point, Disney and Capcom have brought back the ENTIRE VOICE CAST of the original DuckTales cartoon series from 1987 (it ran until 1990) including the 94-year-old Alan Young, voice of Scrooge McDuck! He, in addition to everyone else, has recorded all-new material for all of the DuckTales characters, significantly enhancing the game and giving it the authentic feel that fans of both the voiceless 8bit original NES platformer, and the 80s cartoon series, will love and appreciate!

DuckTales NES Cover Front and Back Box Artwork

Man this takes me back!

Like in the original game, players will take control of Scrooge McDuck himself and his unstoppable pogostick (used to jump on enemies and reach higher areas) as you explore the various themed worlds of the game and collect hidden treasures in order to become the world’s richest duck… This includes some deviously hidden secrets.

Although my memory of the game is very vague, I can recall unlocking the secret to an island that rises up from the sea (or something) and my young mind being absolutely blown. Just like sinking into the quicksand in Super Mario Bros. 2 to appear on the otherside of the wall, the secrets in DuckTales were plentiful and extremely mysterious, really stretching the young mind to new levels of wonder. Whether this game will still have that effect on me or not is doubtful, but I haven’t played the game since the late 80s or early 90s, so it will be a REAL treat to go back to it! In the meantime I may just have to track down a copy of the original NES cartridge to play on my NES2, and bust out some nostalgia!

Capcom promises that the renewed voicework from the talent behind the animated series will bring the in-game characters sparkling to life with “charm and wit”. Additionally, all of the classic melodies, songs and music from the original 8bit NES game and the animated series have been given a modern twist and remixed to great effect, further updating this new version.

A tutorial level has been added to acquant new fans to the iconic Pogo Jump and Cane Swing that form the basis of the gameplay in this side-scrolling 2D platformer, and an additional and all-new “Scrooge McDuck’s Museum” will track all of your stats that you can compare with the world in global leaderboards. There, of course, will also be new Achievements and Trophies to unlock. Hopefully there will be more stuff to unlock as well…

DuckTales Remastered is being developed by acclaimed developer WayForward Technologies, who are well known for creating hit downloadable titles like LIT, Mighty Switch Force, Shantae: Risky’s Revenge, BloodRayne: Betrayal, Double Dragon Neon and retail hits for DS/3DS/Wii/PS Vita like Batman: The Brave and the Bold, Aliens: Infestation and Silent Hill: Book of Memories. So the game is in good hands!

It’s worth noting that two additional DuckTales games were developed after the original 1989 NES title. They include DuckTales 2, released for NES and Game Boy in 1993 (developed by Capcom and a direct-sequel), and DuckTales: The Quest For Gold released for PC and developed by Incredible Technologies in 1990. If this game does well enough we just may see the re-release of DuckTales 2 as well, which would be great. Hopefully from there they can remake or re-release other Disney hits like Chip N’ Dale, Darkwing Duck and TaleSpin! :D

Here is an interview that gives a few more details on DuckTales Remastered.

Remember Me Videogame Release Date Is June 4 2013 (Xbox 360, PS3, PC). New IP From Capcom

Remember Me Gameplay Screenshot Xbox 360, PS3, PCRemember Me will be released on June 4th 2013 for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC for this newest IP from Capcom.

Here is 10 minutes of awesome gameplay footage of Remember Me.

Remember Me is an action adventure title that features an innovative “memory gameplay” mechanic where the combat and battles are highly customizable.

Synopsis
Neo-Paris. 2084. Personal memories can now be digitized, bought, sold and traded. The last remnants of privacy and intimacy have been swept away in what appears to be a logical progression of the explosive growth of social networks at the beginning of the 21st century. The citizens themselves have accepted this surveillance society in exchange for the comfort only smart technology can provide. This memory economy gives immense power over society to just a handful of people.

Remember Me is a 3rd person action adventure where players take on the role of Nilin, a former elite memory hunter with the ability to break into people’s minds and steal or even alter their memories. The authorities, fearful of her knowledge and capabilities have arrested Nilin and wiped her memory clean.

After her escape from prison, Nilin sets out on a mission to recover her identity, helped by her last and only friend. This search for her past leads to her being hunted by the very people that created this surveillance society. During the course of the story, Nilin will start remembering who she was and re-learning all the fighting moves that made her one of the world’s leading memory hunters.

Here is the Remember Me Debut Trailer.

Key features of Remember Me include:

* Speculative, Stunning Vision of Our Future – Discover Neo-Paris 2084, where augmented reality and memory digitization have taken control of people’s lives.
* Play As Nilin, An Elite Memory Hunter With A Clouded Past – Become the most wanted memory hunter in Neo-Paris and experience the power to break into people’s minds to steal their memories. Gain the information you need directly from people’s heads, to complete your missions and recover your own memory.
* Memory Remix – This innovative new gameplay mechanic allows players to use Nilin’s powers and alter parts of people’s memories in real-time gameplay. This will change characters’ complete perspective on their self-image and the people around them, which can have grave consequences for the world in 2084.
* A Balanced Mix of Combat and Exploration – Fight your way through the different environments Neo-Paris has to offer, using Nilin’s proficiency in martial arts, as both hunter and prey!
* Combo Lab – Remember Me will allow players to fully customize the combos Nilin uses during the game. Players can adjust combos on the fly to suit every situation.
