Two New Pokemon Games Announced for 3DS: AR Searcher and Pokedex 3D Pro. Both Connect With Upcoming Pokemon Black and White 2 For Regular DS

3DS Pokemon AR Searcher Game

They've infected our REAL life, it's Agent Smith, RUNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!

3DS owners will be happy to know that even though Pokemon Black 2 and Pokemon White 2 are regular DS games and NOT 3DS games, they will still be getting some fun Pokemon Black and White-related 2 games to play around with that DO work with the 3DS as revealed at the Japanese Nintendo Direct Conference.

First up is an AR Game that will be released via the eShop on June 23rd in Japan for $300 (about $4). It’s called “Pokemon AR Searcher”. In this little AR Game (Alternate Reality, games that use the 3DS two cameras to make it appear that you are interacting with a game character in the real world) you simply use the 3DS camera to look around the room and spot Pokemon hidden in your environment. They will appear as shadows or silhouettes. You will then need to point your 3DS at them and capture them by shooting a beam of light at the Pokemon.

Pokemon 3D Pro App Adds All Pokemon to 3DS Application

Now you can keep great tabs on ALL your Pokemon!

It’s not known if there is more to it than that, I would assume there is. But any Pokemon that you capture this way can then be transferred to Pokemon Black and White 2 for your DS. Nintendo says this will be a great way to catch some rare Pokemon in an easy manner. It’s not know if you will be able to tell what Pokemon you will capture by the shape of its silhouette, and it’s also not known exactly WHAT Pokemon, the bird Pokemon, appears in that Pokemon AR Searcher screenshot. Seems like it may be a new one.

In addition to Pokemon AR Searcher, Nintendo announced an upgraded version of “Pokedex 3D”! Except, this one won’t be free, you’ll have to pay for it. It comes out in Japan on July 14th and cost ¥1,500 or about $18 (Yikes…, the American version may be cheaper than that though. Let’s hope). The big deal here is that the Pokedex has been COMPLETELY updated to contain EVERY.SINGLE.POKEMON. That’s right, not just the Unova Pokemon but every Pokemon. Obviously, this will make Pokemon fans extremely happy.

Here is the initial gameplay trailer for Pokemon Black & White 2.

You Got Softcore Porn In My Super Monkey Ball…. YAY! (A PS Vita Story)

Super Monkey Ball Porno. Soft Porno. Bikini Babe

When porn and monkey balls meet. o_O O_O O_o *facepalm*

Oh Japan. You so silly. What would we do without you?

Seriously, WHAT… THE HELL… would we do without you? Probably live a less shameful life…. that’s for DAMN SURE…. and if you don’t know what I’m referring to (like that’s possible, cause you somehow missed the beautiful half-dressed Asian model and her boobs popping awkwardly off the videogame screenshot and into your face) then just…. just…. FEAST DEM EYES!

Cause a feast it is. A feast. For the eyes.

Yukie Kawamura Super Monkey Ball Screenshot

Super Monkey Ball Vita's Adult Mood. No it isn't April 1st.

Okay okay, I’ll try to get serious for one second. As serious as you can be when discussing monkeys in balls and saying it with absolutely no sexual innuendo intended… cause you know. Monkeys. In balls. Plastic ones. And they roll around. Collecting bananas. GET YOUR MIND OUT OF THE GUTTER.

… what do you mean you can’t? Oh you’re watching the video. Okay I understand. Just keep that fap fap fapping down in there. Your mom might hear.

Ahem. So in what has to be quite possibly the strangest move I’ve ever seen a developer make (gay homosexual penis-filled shoot ‘em ups not withstanding. We’re talking about Japan here, mind)… okay strangest move I’ve ever seen a GIANT, “AAA”, household name, largely family-friendly developer ever make…. The house that Sonic built… Where’s Sonic you ask? Sonic’s in the closet. Crying his cute little eyes out cause you just robbed his dignity.

Sega has announced that the newest Super Monkey Ball game, that’d be “Super Monkey Ball: Banana Splitz” (*facepalm*) for the PS Vita, will contain… An “ADULT MODE”. You heard me right. Why they didn’t just throw in the whole kitten and caboodle and go fully nude, hardcore XXX pornographic on us is lost on me, but someone working at Sega had the bright idea to come up with a “hardcore” “Adult Mode” in which a sexually-charged, strategically posed, half-naked, tiny-bikini-clad Asian of unspeakable beauty would be staring directly at the player in photographic form from every surface in which the Monkey rolls his balls. Erhm. I mean, rolls his ball. Over the hills and yonder. Yeah. THOSE HILLS. Aaaaaa. Get it? THOSE HILLS. Like, you know. Boobs. BOOBS.

Super Monkey Ball: Banana Splitz (PS Vita) Sexy Screenshot

Balls. Monkeys. Petite Asian Girls In Bikinis. Skin. Bananas. It all sounds so wrong!

Okay I have to say it… What in the HELL is Sega thinking? I have a REALLY hard time believing this whole thing is actually real, but no… these screenshots boaring their holes into your eyesockets ARE real. And yes, it DOES look like a little monkey permanantly sealed in a small plastic ball is getting ready to roll atop…. atop… physical, popping-up, hill-like BREASTS that are just planted in the middle of the screen as if they were normal everyday videogame obstacles. I mean okay okay, it’s an “Adult Mode”. I can’t say I’m “surprised”. But really? REALLY Sega? REALLY? I mean just look at it… You mean to tell me this isn’t made by some 13-year-old kid in his basement? Created while he was sitting on a stack of Playboys? With NO PANTS.

Anyway, reportedly this whole thing all came about due to the BEAUTY that is ravaging your eyes right now, and how she has been a spokeperson for the Super Monkey Ball series (or this lattest PS Vita version in particular) for a while now. Oh and apparently she’s well known in the land where beautiful people reside (i.e. Japanese girls). She’s a smokin’, cute-as-a-button, so-sexy-I-want-to-move-to-Japan-right-now-permanantly gal who pretends to play a PS Vita with Super Monkey Ball on it for a few seconds to draw attention to their new little game in commercials and print-ads. Nice gig she has eh?

Adorable Yukie Kawamura being cute and Asian. Like an angel. Monkey Ball Angel

God she's so precious. Can I have one? "Yes Timmy but keep it under the sheets."

Her name is Yukie Kawamura. Not that you cared about that. What do you mean you’re googling her right now? Dude. DUDE. NSFW. COVER THE SCREEN WITH YOUR HANDS! Ahem. Given that she’s a smokin’ hot Bikini model (and God knows what else), Sega obviously did a little 1+1=2 and thought they’d stick her in the game on this special “Adult Mode” map and tell everyone that you can only get this SPECIAL (oh so special) version of the game if you buy a copy of Super Monkey Ball: Banana Splitz for PS Vita that was produced during the first initial print-run. Yes. That’s right little boys. Run! RUN TO THE STORE AND PRE-ORDER THE GAME! Who am I kiddin’? I’ll bet it’s already sold out…. Well played Sega. WELL PLAYED.

So yeah, I mean, you put two and two together… and…. you know. YOU GET….

THIS.

Super Monkey Ball Vita Yukie Kawamura Porn

There are no words.

Thanks Japan.

Now watch her squeal like a girl!

By the way, did I mention that if you pre-order the game or get your hands on one of the initial print-runs, it comes with a promocard that has the code printed on it to download this uber-special softcore Super Monkey Ball: Banana Splitz PS Vita map? It’s not quite DLC. No that’s not the point. STOP. And look. THIS is what the code is printed on. And there are three versions. THREE VERSIONS. Now to quote someone’s youtube comment from the trailer you just watched…. “*sigh* Goddammit Japan!”

Yuki Promo Card Super Monkey Ball Vita: Banana Splitz Adult Mode

Super Monkey Ball. Adult Mode Style. Go ahead. Play yourself.

At least I didn’t say “here’s a video of Yuki playing herself” like other websites did. I got more class than that. Yes I did post each and every picture of Yuki. What do you mean you thought this was a Christian site? :D What do you mean I have God selected as a category? Well that’s because God’s watching son. GOD’S WATCHING.

New Power Ranger (Kamen Rider: Rider Generation 2) DS, PS Vita Game Screenshots (No 3DS)

Power Ranger-like Kamen Rider Generation 2 for PS Vita and DS Screenshot

Power Ranger-like Kamen Rider Generation 2 game for PS Vita & DS

Kamen Rider is the fan-loved, infinitely edgier Japanese-only version of Power Rangers… in Japan Power Rangers is known as “Super Sentai” and has been running since the 1970s (stuff that in your pipe and smoke it). It’s okay. You learn something new everyday!

And Power Rangers itself is simply a style of show that is known as “sentai”, a sentai or Super Sentai-style show is a show, like Power Rangers (the most familiar one to Westerners) where people dress up in elaborate costumes and perform superhero-like feats. You could think of Godzilla as an early example of what I mean. Power Rangers has been by far the most popular American sentai, although we have gotten others. Any kid of the 90s (or an 80s kid like me) will recall other Power Ranger style shows such as VR Troopers, Beetle Borgs, The Masked Rider, Ultraman, Mystic Knights of Tir Na Nog, Superhuman Samurai Syber Squad, etc.

Epic Kamen Rider Wallpaper for DS PS Vita Kamen Rider Generation 2 Game

Looks awesome doesn't it? :D

Anyway, because Kamen Rider is a Japanese series, the likelihood of us getting this new DS and PS Vita version is zilch, but the game actually looks quite awesome in screenshots. I’m a big Power Ranger fan, but I’ve never seen Kamen Rider (a show who’s following has grown exponentially since anime has grown in popularity and many a young American watches plenty of Japanese, Korean, etc. anime and live-action shows online)… blasphemous I know.

Feast your eyes on some screenshots of “Kamen Rider: Rider Generation 2″, the second Kamen Rider game. Definitely looks like it’s a beat-em up. I like beat-em ups. :D

Kamen Rider Generation 2 DS Screenshot

Beat-em ups are nice. Me likes.

Here’s a video of the American version of Kamen Rider…. which I JUST FOUND OUT existed! :O LOOKS FREAKIN’ AWESOME! I gotta go cop that! :P The show airs on the CW in their 4Kids block on Saturdays at 9:30am or so.

Now here is a look at the Japanese Kamen Rider…. in a cheesy music video. Oh well.

Mario Tennis Open Release Date Is May 20, 2012. Characters List, New Trailer and Details (Nintendo Direct, 3DS)

Mario Tennis: Open Art for 3DS

Mario Tennis: Open releases May 20th, 2012 for 3DS. Great artwork huh!

Mario Tennis Open will be released in America on May 20th, 2012 exclusively for 3DS. The game is the latest installment in what is arguably Nintendo’s most popular Mario Sports series. SPOILERS, PROCEED WITH CAUTION

(scroll to the very end to see screenshots of most of the game’s characters, avoid scrolling completely to the bottom of this article if you don’t want to see them).

Mario Tennis Open follows previous Mario Tennis games including the original Mario Tennis (N64, 2000) and Mario’s Tennis (Virtual Boy, 1995), Mario Tennis GB (Game Boy Color, 2001), Mario Power Tennis (GameCube, 2004), Mario Tennis: Power Tour (Game Boy Advance, 2005) and the Wii re-release of the GameCube game, called “Mario Power Tennis: New Play Control!”, released in 2009; A version that added gesture controls to the game, making it feel similar to Wii Sports. Additionally, the original Mario Tennis was re-released for the Wii Virtual Console in 2010.

So Mario Tennis Open for 3DS is effectively the 5th installment in this hit sports game series. If you’ve ever played a Mario Tennis game, then you’ll know exactly what to expect in Mario Tennis: Open, as the game seems to play essentially exactly the same as before.

Here’s some old footage of Mario Tennis: Open from when the game was first announced.

A new camera has been added to give you better depth perception since you’ll be playing the game in Stereoscopic, Glasses-Free 3D on the handheld, and the game also feature touchscreen controls (that allow you to select what type of shot you want to make… Lob, Topspin, Simple Shot, Flat Shot, Drop Shot, or Slice by tapping the screen) and support for the gyro sensor in the 3DS meaning you can tilt the system to do things in the game.

In this screenshot you can clearly see how the Touchscreen really enhances the game and will make it MUCH easier for newbies to play the game. Previously, in past Mario Tennis titles, you’d need to perform different button presses to pull of different types of shots. So for example you might press A then B in quick succession to lob the ball high into the air… you can still do that by pressing the facebuttons on the 3DS, but now you could do it much easier by simply tapping the screen. Does this give other players an unfair advantage verses those that use only buttons? Possibly so… it’s also doubtful you’ll be able to customize whether your real-life opponent uses the touchscreen or not…

Mario Tennis Open Touchscreen Controls

Simply tap the screen to execute a certain move. Simple!

New Project X Zone 3DS Trailer Shows Gameplay of Capcom+Namco+Sega Strategy RPG

Ryu & Ken Street Fighter tagteaming in Project X Zone 3DS Screenshot

Ryu and Ken put the hurt on in Project X Zone!

The tactical RPG Project X Zone was earlier revealed to be an all-new strategy role-playing game developed by Namco Bandai that features an insane crossover with both Capcom and Sega characters!

All three companies are involved, and the game features some of your favorite characters from each… As well as many obscure characters that aren’t recognizable to Westerners (although Capcom’s side sure is!). If you don’t know anything about the game, click the game name above to read my previous write-up on the title.

Project X Zone Resident Evil Screenshot (Chris, Jill)

Resident Evil stars Chris & Jill serve the pain on a Tyrant in Project X Zone (3DS)!

However before, we didn’t know what the game would actually play like or what it even looked like… Until now! As you will see below, the game features insane fighting-game style battles… or at least animations that take place after you’ve attacked with your characters in the strategy portion… As that portion of the game wasn’t shown. But what IS shown is awesome and makes you bleed for an actual fighting game starring all these characters!

Thanks to the Japanese Nintendo Direct conference, we finally have a solid look at this insane project… AND BOY DOES IT LOOK EPIC!

Sit tight, grab some popcorn, and enjoy this awesome Project X Zone Trailer!

Sadly there still has been no word on whether this game will be released outside of Japan, but hopefully we’ll hear something at E3 2012 in June! Gotta love the chibby look of the characters! ^_^

New Super Mario Bros. 2 Screenshots Show Gold Mario. Releases August 2012. Super Mario 3DS overload?

Gold Mario Screenshot

Golden Mario in New Super Mario Bros. 2 (3DS). Is this just a Starman replacement?

New Super Mario Bros. 2 for 3DS was just announced via the Nintendo Direct conferences in Japan and Europe, and has been confirmed as officially releasing in August 2012. This date seems like a worldwide one, as Japan and Europe are getting it then. So America likely will too.

No actual details on the game were revealed, but several aspects of it can be gleaned from checking out the screenshots.

New Super Mario Bros. 2 Logo (3DS)

The official logo for New Super Mario Bros. 2 on 3DS.

The biggest new addition is the return of the Raccoon Suit! The Raccoon Suit made its debut in the original 8bit NES Super Mario Bros. 3 masterpiece (alongside the Tanooki Suit) and allowed Mario to fly if he had enough space to run in order to fill up his “P Meter”. Incredibly, that feature, the P Meter and the ability to fly, look like they are making a return in New Super Mario Bros. 2! This will be the first Mario game with proper flight since Super Mario 64 DS! And the first 2D Mario game with proper flight since the 16-bit Super Mario World for SNES.

Raccoon Mario & P-Meter in New Super Mario Bros. 2 Screenshot (3DS)

Raccoon Mario AND the P-Meter?! MADNESS!!

This is an awesome prospect, as most of the newer Super Mario titles didn’t really incorporate the space ABOVE Mario into play in the same manner as Super Mario Bros. 3 or Super Mario World did. You can also spot platforms that look like the multicolored square platforms from Super Mario Bros. 3. In that game you could crouch for a bit on a white square platform and you’d eventually pass through it, giving you the ability to move behind objects for a short time. Will that ability return in New Super Mario Bros. 2?

Golden Enemies in New Super Mario Bros. 2 Screenshot

Gold enemies AND a Gold Mario? That's odd...

Another question is whether or not OTHER classic power-ups from Super Mario Bros. 3 will also return; such as the Frog Suit, Kuribo’s Shoe, Tanooki Suit (which made an appearance in Super Mario 3D Land; it allows Mario to turn into an invulerable statue as well as fly and swat with his tail) or Hammer Bros. Suit (always my personal favorite). It’ll also be interesting to see if past New Super Mario Bros. DS/Wii items reappear like the Mega Mushroom (which lets Mario grow to a huge size), Mini Mushroom or Penguin Suit.

What does seem to be new is both a Gold Mario Power-up (or perhaps it’s just a replacement for the Starman/Rainbow Mario, that made Mario invincible in past games) as well as golden colored enemies. Weiiird.

Spiders In New Super Mario Bros. 2 3DS Screenshot

One things for sure... squishing spiders and climbing webs are in!

I do wish Nintendo would’ve gone with a different art style and overall look of the game… I’m not a fan of the look of New Super Mario Bros. games. But so far this is pretty exciting news regardless. I’m always welcome to play a new Mario game. But will this turn into Mario overload? I don’t think so, but consider all of the 3DS games with Mario that are coming and/or already out…. Super Mario 3D Land (out), Mario Kart 7 (out), Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games (out), Mario Tennis Open (coming soon), Paper Mario 3DS (To-be-determined), and Luigi’s Mansion 2 (not really Mario but…. close enough?).

A lot of people seem to be disappointed with this announcement, considering that this is the THIRD game in the “New Super Mario Bros.” series following the original New Super Mario Bros. DS in 2006 and New Super Mario Bros. Wii in 2009… and considering we just got Super Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart 7 last last year. Of course, given the sloggy sales of the 3DS at first, Nintendo is likely trying to do everything it can to create compelling software that will sell… and they’ve realized that a deluge of Mario games (almost all of which are in different genres or are different styles of game) WILL sell systems… And you know what, I don’t mind to be honest. Because this is Nintendo, and we know all of these games will be good (barring Mario & Sonic… cause it’s made by Sega).

Here is a video of Nintendo President Iwata talking about the game in Japanese.

God of War 4: Ascension Announced and Confirmed for PS3

God of War 4: Ascension Artwork

God of War 4: Ascension Officially Announced. We'll learn more at E3 2012.

God of War 4, or rather “God of War: Ascension” has been exclusively announced for PlayStation 3!

This is the long-awaited newest game in the series, which looks like it will be a prequel, and a game we are sure to learn real details about once E3 2012 hits in June. The game has yet to be officially announced (or formally, rather), but info including the official trailer has leaked early.

“Join Kratos as he seeks freedom, redemption, and the clarity to avenge his family in the most ambitious God of War adventure in the series so far.”

The game is being developed by Sony Santa Monica and Todd Papy will be directing the game, previously he was the Game Designer for God of War 1, God of War 2, and God of War 3, so it sounds like the game’s development is in good hands. Todd worked on Scenario Design for Combat, Level Design and Scripting for past games, so it sounds like he knows the game well enough to become the producer this time.

“There was a time before Kratos became the monster known as the Ghost of Sparta. A time when something other than rage consumed him. A time when in spite of the madness that plagued him, Kratos would break his blood oath to an unjust God. A time when he was only bound by blood.”

Sounds awesome huh, now watch the God of War 4: Ascension trailer:

In another example of my ABSOLUTE gaming failure, I’ve yet to play a single one of the God of War games…. *sigh* *sits in corner*

Operation Rainfall Raising Money To Pitch Pandora’s Tower USA Localization To Publishers

Pandora's Tower Wallpaper

Beautiful artwork from the Wii-exclusive RPG Pandora's Tower

WOW. Talk about an exciting development! Operation Rainfall is raising money and taking donations that will be used to pitch Pandora’s Tower to videogame publishers themselves! Basically, Operation Rainfall is now bypassing Nintendo entirely and going to the publishers on their own, with a kit of information on Pandora’s Tower, in order to convince these publishers that they are the ones who should pick up the North American release of the Wii RPG and take things into their own hands!

If successful, this would mean that one of these publishers would see the light in regards to the worth of releasing Pandora’s Tower in the United States, and would then come to Nintendo and say “We are willing to invest the funds necessary to publish Pandora’s Tower in North America”, effectively giving a win to Operation Rainfall’s whole initial point of existance… to get all three great Wii RPGs published in major English-speaking markets.

Here is a trailer for Pandora’s Tower.

Operation Rainfall was successful in this endeavor with two of the the three games: Xenoblade Chronicles was co-published by GameStop in collaboration with Nintendo, and has seen great sales success in the United States (The Xenoblade Chronicles release date was on April 6, 2012). That was game #1 of the Operation Rainfall campaign. Game #2 was The Last Story, which XSeed Games approached Nintendo about in regards to publishing, and Nintendo announced the game for a June 19th, 2012 release date in North America (co-published by both Xseed Games & Nintendo).

That left one more game… Pandora’s Tower. All three of these highly anticipated Wii RPGs were picked up and published across the pond by Nintendo Europe themselves (who are even being rewarded with the awesome Collector’s Operation Rainfall Wii RPG Coin Set Offered by Club Nintendo Europe), so most of the world has already gotten the games… except for North America. As of right now, Pandora’s Tower has yet to be announced for an American release, much to the dismay of Operation Rainfall members and gamers of all stripes who have been calling, writing, petitioning and praying that Nintendo would wake up to their senses and publish the game in America. But to no avail. Enter PHASE 2!

That, of course, is where Operation Rainfall steps in with their new Operation Rainfall Pitch To A Publisher campaign.

Operation Rainfall Collection Set Mock Art

This is a mockup of what the Pitch to A Publisher Operation Rainfall Campaign Award will look like for those who donate $10 to the cause! A collector's case that holds the entire "Operation Rainfall Collection": Xenoblade Chronicles, The Last Story and Pandora's Tower.

If you donate $5 to this “Pitch To A Publisher” cause, Operation Rainfall will reward you with exclusive Pandora’s Tower wallpapers. If you donate $10 to the cause, Operation Rainfall will reward you even more greatly with a very snazzy “Operation Rainfall Collection” 3-disc collector’s case to hold Xenoblade Chronicles, The Last Story, and Pandora’s Tower! Very, very cool!

If you can afford to donate to the Operation Rainfall Pitch To A Publisher Campaign PLEASE do so! I urge you, as this may be the ABSOLUTE solution to finally getting the last of the three AAA quality RPGs published in America! And time is running out, because soon we will have the Wii U on our hands and Wii games will be completely obsolete!

Operation Rainfall only needs to raise a paltry $600 in order to completely fulfill what they want to do. That will give them enough money to create their “kits” that they will send to each of the following publishers:

1. Aksys Games
2. ATLUS
3. NIS America
4. Rising Star
5. UTV Ignition
6. XSEED Games JKS

The kit will contain the following: A physical copy of the PAL (European) version of Pandora’s Tower, hi-res printouts of concept art for the game, printed copies of the many glowing reviews for the game, and possibly even a full printout of the original Operation Rainfall petition sent to Nintendo. The publishers were selected in order of likelihood to accept this proposal to publish Pandora’s Tower, based on this criteria:

1. The publisher must have a working relationship on the Wii console (i.e., they have published at least one game on the Wii, either to North America or Europe).
2. The publisher must have experience with localizing titles that were developed in Japan.
3. The publisher must have experience publishing action/role-playing games.

So come on videogamers! Let’s band together and do the work needed to get Pandora’s Tower released! DONATE NOW! Even if Operation Rainfall meets the $600 threshold needed, any additional funds will go towards continuing their campaign to get all worth games that have never been released outside of Japan or released in America, localized and published! This includes games that fans have been long-clamoring for, such as EarthBound, Mother 1, Mother 3, Fatal Frame 4 (Wii), etc.!

Please stay plugged in to the Operation Rainfall Facebook and the Official Operation Rainfall website, as this group of amazing, passionate gamers works tirelessly to shed light and attention on the games that need and deserve it! GODSPEED!

Crysis 3 Announced. Launches Spring 2013 for Xbox 360, PS3, PC. Unparalleled Graphics Promised

Crysis 3 Gameplay?

Crysis 3 is sure to offer graphics that probably look this good.

The next-generation of gaming will be here soon, as Crytek has officially announced Crysis 3! Only one problem, it’s coming to current-gen systems Xbox 360, PS3 and PC in Spring of 2013!

Even so, you can expect a graphical fidelity that rivals that of anything else once the game lands next year, as Crytek is famous for pushing the boundaries to their limit and offering games with absolutely stunning graphics. Not only that, but just because today’s systems are the only ones named, doesn’t mean they won’t also hit next-gen systems as well. It’s also a bit alarming that Wii U isn’t one of those systems named….

You can already pre-order the game too via EA’s Origin platform for PC. If you’re one of those crazies who wants to pre-order a game that’s a whole year away, natch. Yikes….

Sadly I’ve never played the Crysis games, despite owning Crysis 1 and 2 on Steam…. I always buy Steam games and never play them. One of these days… Crytek also has Far Cry 3 in development. Looks like they have a busy year ahead of them!

Here is the official full Crysis 3 Press Release:

The hunted becomes the hunter in Crysis 3, the premier sandbox shooter experience of 2013. Powered by Crytek’s proprietary CryENGINE, Crysis 3 advances the state of the art with unparalleled visuals and dynamic shooter gameplay. Players take on the role of “Prophet” as he returns to New York, only to discover that the city has been encased in a Nanodome created by the corrupt Cell Corporation. The New York City Liberty Dome is a veritable urban rainforest teeming with overgrown trees, dense swamplands and raging rivers. Within the Liberty Dome, seven distinct and treacherous environments become known as the Seven Wonders. This dangerous new world demands advanced weapons and tactics. Prophet will utilize a lethal composite bow, an enhanced Nanosuit and devastating alien tech to become the deadliest hunter on the planet.

“Crysis 3 is a thrilling mix of sandbox gameplay, advanced combat and hi-tech human and alien weaponry that shooter fans will love,” said Cevat Yerli, Chief Executive Officer of Crytek. “Leveraging the latest CryENGINE technology, we’re able to deliver seven unique themes that offer stunning and visually loaded gameplay experiences. We cannot wait until people get their hands on the game.”

Set in 2047, Prophet is on a revenge mission after uncovering the truth behind Cell Corporation’s motives for building the quarantined Nanodomes. The citizens were told that the giant citywide structures were resurrected to protect the population and to cleanse these metropolises of the remnants of Ceph forces. In reality, the Nanodomes are CELL’s covert attempt at a land and technology grab in their quest for global domination. With Alien Ceph lurking around every corner and human enemies on the attack, nobody is safe in the path of vengeance. Everyone is a target in Prophet’s quest for retribution.

Crytek also announced that players who are ready to start the hunt can pre-order the Crysis 3 Hunter Edition today . The Crysis 3 Hunter Edition gives players the tools to become the ultimate hunter in multiplayer with early access to the new signature bow and its attachments, plus the Hunter Nanosuit module which adds additional power and functionality to the super-suit. Gamers who pre-order now will also have a head start when playing online with a bonus XP boost up to level 5, a unique bow skin and three exclusive dog tags to hunt in style. The Crysis 3 Hunter Edition is available on Origin.com and other participating retailers.

In addition to receiving the Crysis 3 Hunter Edition, select retailers are offering gamers that pre-order Crysis 3 the following early multiplayer unlocks:

* Stalker Pack – Includes the base game, all Hunter Edition content and the following early multiplayer unlocks: for players who like to stalk their prey from the shadows the Stalker Pack provides early multiplayer access to the deadly semi-auto Jackal shotgun. This powerful, close-range shotgun comes with a unique silencer attachment, custom weapon skin and two exclusive themed in-game dog tags.

* Overkill Pack – Includes the base game, all Hunter Edition content and the following early multiplayer unlocks: the Overkill Pack features early multiplayer access to the Typhoon assault weapon and skin. Spewing 500 rounds a second, the Typhoon gives players the ability to go guns blazing to take back the Liberty Dome. Also included are two exclusive Overkill themed in-game dog tags.

* Predator Pack – Includes the base game, all the Hunter Edition content and the following early multiplayer unlocks: the Predator Pack delivers early multiplayer access to the Feline submachine gun and exclusive camo. With an extremely fast rate of fire and a 60 round magazine the Feline is highly effective and deadly, at short range.

The Crysis franchise and Crytek in general are known for their graphical prowess. With Crysis 3, the studio is aiming to raise the bar once again by “advancing the state of the art with unparalleled visuals and dynamic shooter gameplay.”

Today I am presenting you with an absolutely wicked remix of Command & Conquer’s Hell March song, originally from the first Command & Conquer: Red Alert. This time the soundtrack has been giving a crazy awesome spin, this from the soundtrack of Red Alert 3.

I can’t get enough of this track. I think I listened to it like … 8 times in a row already lol. And to think… I never even was a big Command & Conquer guy. Although I can definitely appreciate the games. I did play through Red Alert Retaliation for PS1 back in the day though.
