The first art for Skyrim’s Dawnguard downloadable content, hitting in June.
Skyrim Dawnguard downloadable content will be the first DLC released this June, just in time for summer, announced Bethesda.
Much to the dismay of non-Xbox 360 owners, the DLC will have a timed-exclusive deal meaning that Xbox 360 owners will get to play the DLC before anyone else. However it will only be exclusive for 30 days before hitting the PS3 and PC platforms.
Details like pricing and what exactly will be included in the first downloadable content will be revealed at E3 2012 in June, although it has been suggested and rumored that this first DLC will give players Crossbows and Snow Elves.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 will be released on November 13th, 2012 for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. And like rumor has suggested, the game will be set in the near future, a first for the series!
This is a time when “21st Century Cold War technology and weapons have converged to create a new generation of warfare.”
Known locations are reported to include Los Angeles (in flames) and global settings that include Afghanistan, Japan and China. Surely among many others.

Do Not Pass Go, Do Not Collect $200 Dollars! Poor Nintendo, they’ll rebound though.
As Nintendo’s year-old 3DS portable sells more systems than the original DS during its first year, Nintendo has reported the companys first annual loss of ALL TIME.
It’s hard to believe, but Nintendo is one of the most financially secure company’s in the world, and has carefully manipulated and strategically played the market to maximize profits. In fact Nintendo is the only company that makes sure that it sells each system it releases for more than it cost the company to make the system, which has caused Nintendo to make bucketloads of cash (more like islands worth :P).
That trend was broken with the Nintendo 3DS however after it had an extremely rocky start, causing Nintendo to slash the price of the system from it’s high of $250 at launch to a mind-boggling $180 only months later.
However the 3DS has picked up substantially since the holiday of last year in terms of sales and interst, and the 3DS system is on track to have a MUCH better performance than it’s predecessor, the original DS… and that’s saying something as the DS is one of the best-selling systems of all time life-to-date.
The 3DS so far has sold over 5 million units (the original DS sold only 2.3 million) in its first year and has sold 9 million videogame copies with over 100 titles available (compared to 5 million with the DS from 58 titles). And that’s not even counting the over 500 games available for the digital Nintendo eShop… whereas the DS launched with no digital store available! The average 3DS consumer has downloaded at least 5 titles… Last but not least, the 3DS has generated over $1.2 billion dollars in revenue already, whereas the DS had generated only $540 million in the same amount of time! QUITE THE DIFFERENCE!
As for Nintendo’s first ever yearly loss, the company saw a 36% drop in hardware and software sales year-over-year, with a 36% drop in revenue. That equaled up to a loss of $458 million (¥37.3 billion in Yen, the Japanese currency) in sales…
Thankfully the Wii U will be launching this year to replace the Wii and usher in the next-generation! Nintendo will be the first manufacturer with two next-gen systems on the market (the 3DS and the Wii U) and that should help spur sales and interest in Nintendo products immensely, especially given that the next Xbox and next PlayStation systems are not likely to hit until 2013 at the earliest. As such, Nintendo expects that they will turn a profit by this September 2012, leading a return to profit for next year. And believe-you-me, this has been a harsh lesson for Nintendo who is unlikely to put themselves in the same position ever again, as having to announce their first ever annual loss must have been a very bitter pill to swallow for a very proud Japanese company who was on top of the world with sales at the height of the Wii’s success. Seeing the Wii fall so low will only improve how the company does business in the future.
Game-wise, Nintendo expects for sales to be improved thanks to the likes of New Super Mario Bros. 2 for the 3DS this August, Animal Crossing 3DS this Fall, a new Brain Training game this Summer, strong and extended Nintendo Network programming and digital releases, upcoming DLC for their games and the release of their next console, the Wii U.

What did the late-great Andy Rooney think of the eBook revolution and the end of the book era?
Of course, the eReader has grown immensely popular since Andy’s death, and continues to grow to this day; although Andy passed away only last year, so the 92-year- old got to see a lot of where the modern day-and-age was headed… this from someone who wrote tons of books on a 1920s typewriter!
Thankfully for all of us though, ebooks have yet to replace physical books… and I don’t think they ever will. I think like the various means of getting digital movies, music and videogames, the two can and will coincide together in peaceful harmony, but more and more books will be available digital and some digital-only. Given that it is so much easier, cheaper and more convenient to go digital.

Just as interesting as the final song, is the demo which was called “New Wave”. New Wave has quite a different sound to it (a little less polished, but not as busy sounding, more simpler) and also contains a few extra lines. This was offered to fans on a special disc for the Testify Special Edition set. Give it a listen!
Chasing God by studying the example of David, a Man After God’s Own Heart.

The Bible talks about a man named David, a man whom God said was after His own heart. And yet David was as flawed an individual as they came, and made many mistakes and committed many sins. And yet God’s view of David still stood.
David accomplished great feats and was immeasurably blessed because of his devotion to God.
Why was that? It was because David diligently sought God and admitted to His mistakes while asking for God’s favor and forgiveness. It was not what Daniel did or said that God cared about, it was how he did it and what he said afterward. Daniel was frank and honest with God and Daniel actively sought God’s forgiveness, His grace, His compassion and His ways. God honored this and it lead David to great things and God blessed him immeasurably.
We can be like David today by doing exactly what Joel Olsteen says in this quote. There is power behind his words because they are the words of Christ, and fall inline exactly with how one should go about living their life. Don’t allow God to be the last person you turn to… Turn to Him first, and everything else will fall inline.

If you haven’t heard of the Xbox Live Arcade Kinect videogame “Double Fine Happy Action Theater” from Tim Schafer (Pyschonauts, Brutal Legend, Grim Fandango, Stacking, Sesame Street: Once Upon A Monster) and his development team at Double Fine… then you are missing out!
This videogame was made particularly with kids in mind, yet allows adults to do absolutely hilarious and just plain wrong things… That’s right, finally a game that is equally fun for both kids and adults where kids and adults are doing the same exact things; and yet will use it in completely different ways. In fact “Happy Action Theater” is more of a fun “activity” than a game per se… and makes use of Microsoft’s Xbox 360 motion camera microphone Kinect in extremely unique ways that is unlike anything ever seen before.
Let’s have the always-awesome team at Giantbomb demonstrate the game for you along with Tim Schafer, the creator, and his team at Double Fine. Also… Tim looks like a creepy Minime version of Giantbomb’s Ryan Davis. o_O

Double Fine Happy Action Theater is available now on Xbox Live Arcade for Xbox 360 and requires Kinect to play. It was released on February 1st, 2012 and costs 800 Microsoft Points or the equivalent of $10 dollars.

Naturally, the Zelda series is rich with characters, environments, locations, buildings, iconic weapons and items, and lore that would be ripe for Lego Zelda. Whether you’re talking about Link, Princess Zelda, Ganondorf, Ganon, Oocoo, Cuccos, Malon, Midna, etc., there are tons of characters that would make great Minifig pieces, and then you have the set designs based on various locations from Zelda games. Whether it’s Hyrule Field, Death Mountain, The Temple of Time, Hyrule Castle, Town Market, Lon Lon Ranch, Kakariko Village, The Graveyard, The Lost Woods, The Master Sword Resting Place, there are tons of locations to choose from. The Bible, Old Testament Book of Psalms, Chapter 30 verse 5, is an beautiful, succint, uplifting quote that should serve as a rock for life.

“For His anger is but for a moment, but His favor is for a lifetime or in His favor is life. Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.”
The latter part of the verse, “Joy comes in the morning”, is a well known saying, and tells us that no matter how difficult times are, no matter what is going on in our lives to build hardship, anger, bitterness, etc. in us… it will all dissipate if you can only shift your perspective to see the next day, the morning, as a fresh start.
But what is even more interesting in my eyes is the little-quoted first section of the verse. It says, in no uncertain terms, that knowing God and living a life dedicated to Jesus Christ puts us in God’s favor FOREVER. I always say that God does not unsave anyone… in fact the Bible says the opposite, it says God will leave His entire flock of sheep to save that one who has gone astray. Once you are God’s child, you are always God’s child, and your favor with Him is eternal, unconditional, and everlasting. No matter what you do, God loves you. He loved you so much He died for you… even before you knew Him. For your righteousness is as of dirty rags to God… it is nothing YOU do that makes you favorable to God. For God gives His salvation freely thus none can boast. Yet by accepting His free gift, you become one of His children, and entitled to all the riches and glory in Christ that He provides. It is a gift, and a sacrifice, worth rejoicing over. So when joy comes in the morning, be glad. For God is with you. And never shall He depart.
One of the most popular fantasy art is that of dragons… often mixed with hot girls. Generally scantily clad, but various other forms also exist, like the girl seen in this piece of wonderful art. Not sure who the artist is.
