Want a Bible verse of infinite wisdom? Here is a good one:
“Hatred Stirs Up Dissension, But Love Covers Over All Wrongs.” – Proverbs 10:12
Remember that love is the most powerful Commandment, it is literally the commandment for which all other Commandments lean on. Without love, you are nothing. And without love, God cannot, and will not, use you. Love is powerful, and all problems ultimately, can be solved by love.
I remember this stance well... Gotta love these lil guys.
I never thought a whole lot about you tube… except for casual listening to my favorite oldie songs – From Woodstock bands to classical stuff – And songs I’ve heard over the years…
My taste runs all over the place. And whatever my heart desires, or I should say, my mind can remember – I don’t think I’ve ever NOT found something about it on youtube, good quality or not. I could spend HOURS, listening to old fav’s, and each time I click on one… A whole row of new songs, relating to the last, pops up! Utterly AMAZING.
Over my computer usage year (I started out pretty slow), my kids [Editor's Note: That's me. :)] have showed me a lot. Helped me immensely. Oh yeah, can’t forget the one who puts up with me – My wife has also helped me in a lot of stuck situations. So now after being around the Internet for… well since the last decade off and on… I can now actually log on and read the news… And go on youtube.
Anyway, what I want to talk about is actually what youtube did for me…
Ya see… My dog died last March 31st [Ed Note: RIP Sammy :(], and then a few months later our other dog, the first one’s pal, had to be put to sleep [Ed Note: RIP Chelsea :( :(].
Chelsea was the sweetest dog... best pals with our cat Cloud. As you can see here, they loved each other!
Now this may sound weird or maybe different – But youtube eased the pain… Not with my oldies playlist, but I just happened to look up a type of dog (Carinterrier mix) and there popped up on the screen videos of little guys that looked just like my pals… Sammy and Chelsea… It was… wonderful.
And yet so sad at the same time. Then I found some videos that people had put of beautiful music to their dogs… Their best pals. Sometimes funny music. For a while, everday, I’d get online and go to youtube and watch as terrier pups, terrier old guy dogs, etc. all did their funny things… Or just slept as their owners proudly shared them with all who wanted to watch.
It was like medicine for me…
At first I thought maybe I was being a little silly… For an old construction worker – Then it just all settled in that the sadness and the kinda guilty feeling I was wrestling around with just kinda floated away…
As I read different comments, like what a good looking little fella you have there… It reminds me of one of my cherished little guys…
Well thank God for youtube and this whole Internet deal… Even an old guy like me can see how so many people are touched by someone’s simple video. So as I forge ahead into computerland, toss up a prayer now and then for us older guys… Oft-amazed still, at what this wonderful technology brings.
Btw, I fell in love with this dog in particular, named Frank the Tank, as you can see in this beautiful video. :) He’s not doing much but relaxing… but I hope you enjoy the music of Stanton Lanier’s song “Resting” from his album “The Voice”.
I also love this video… you can actually see Frank the Tank walking around in this one. Gotta love when Sweet Sarah barks! Enjoy.
The Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 soundtrack artwork. Contains Hells March Remix
Today I am presenting you with an absolutely wicked remix of Command & Conquer’s Hell March song, originally from the first Command & Conquer: Red Alert. This time the soundtrack has been giving a crazy awesome spin, this from the soundtrack of Red Alert 3.
I can’t get enough of this track. I think I listened to it like … 8 times in a row already lol. And to think… I never even was a big Command & Conquer guy. Although I can definitely appreciate the games. I did play through Red Alert Retaliation for PS1 back in the day though.

“God is concerned more with our ultimate maturity than He is with our present comfort.” – Joyce Meyers
Many times in life a certain situation seems unbearable. It feels like God does not care or does not want you to be happy in your life. This is the type of attitude that a lot of people have towards situations and events in their lives, particularly when they feel negative towards said event and cannot see outside of the hole.
Just remember, everything in life is ultimately teaching you a lesson, and working towards building your life experience and maturing you into the person you will become. You cannot grow and mature, if you stay stagnant and don’t face challenges, trials, tribulations and sometimes even harrowing, dangerous, sad, or tragic events.
Case in point, the late Andy Rooney of CBS’ 60 Minutes (who died in December of 2011 at age 93), during one of his final segments, reflected on being drafted during World War II. At that time, Andy was ripped out of his current easy life of persuing higher education and chasing his dreams, and was instead dropped into a warzone and forced to wear an American uniform and defend his country and the world against the threat of Nazi Germany and Hitler. At the time, Andy Rooney felt that his life may just be over. Would he even get out alive?
Many an American hero has felt these same feelings during wartime as United States soldiers and military-men, or even Fire Fighters or Police Officers, who are simply doing their duty. 70 years later, Andy Rooney reflected on how much that moment and event of his young life taught him. How much going to war matured him, and he said it was the pride of his life. That event made him into the force of nature that he would become; and it was only possible because he was forced to go to war. Upon reflection, Andy says that being in uniform taught him skills, abilities, determination and self-reliance that he never would have learned in a college setting. Sitting in a classroom does not, cannot and will never prepare a person for the rigors and the trenches of real life outside your four walls.
As they say, there is a difference between knowing the path, and walking the path. A great difference.
God knows all, and God knows what will happen at the other side of the tunnel, whose light is not yet seen by the one who has just entered said tunnel. While the death of a loved one, for example, can seem like the end of the world. It may just be the beginning… of an all-new perspective and an all-new love and zeal for life. At least it will for the ones who understand that these moments teach and mature us, no matter how horrible they are to live through.
Life after all, is all about perspective. And in the end, in God’s eyes, maturity supersedes comfort. Words to life by!
You never can get enough of these videos that showcase American soldiers returning home from war, and then surprising the people they love! Unbelievably touching, I thought it was worth posting some that I come across here on the website.
This one is equally as momentous and touching as any others, especially after seeing the wife’s reaction! Enjoy. :)
Ever wonder why kids won’t eat their vegetables and fruits? What is it about these tasty candies of nature that makes kids turn away and resort to deception tactics to get out from under the oppressive regime of their health-dictating mother?
THE TRUTH… REVEALED!
Hahahahaha, poor kids, all these subliminal messages in their bedtime stories have kept them terrified this whole time! :D
Absolutely stunning. To say this kid has incredible talent is an understatement!
Guitar players… Get ready to hang up your instruments in disgrace and cry into your coat, because this kid has you beat. PERIOD.
Check out this INCREDIBLE video of a super-young, 15-year old named Ben Lapps (if that’s his real name…) as he absolute stuns an audience, AND THE WORLD, with his incredibly fast, blink-and-you’ll-miss-it, the-hand-is-faster-than-the-eye acoustic guitar shredding! Already this video has over 1 million views, and it’s sure to gain a lot more than that thanks to his amazing talent!
This literally has to be seen to be believed. If this kid is not a star, then humanity ought to be charged with war crimes. Cause this kid is ridiculous!
Be sure to check out Ben Lapps Facebook and send him some love! Tell him WatchUsPlayGames.com sent ya! :D
Absolutely Dropdead Gorgeous Girl. She kills with a violin!
One Voice, One Violin’s Skyrim music video (duo of Lindsey Stirling and Peter Hollens) is absolutely mind-blowing and will put a gigantic smile on the face of anyone who watches it, cold-hearted hater of fantasy or Skyrim RPG junkie with no life, all will bow to the incredible power of this unbelievable video. You can even purchase this awesome Skyrim Main Theme Lindsey Sterling & Peter Hollens Song on iTunes for only $1.30! BUY IT!
Both of the cast of characters in this video; the incredibly sweet, cute-as-a-button, violin-master Lindsey Stirling and the man’s man, loincloth-bearing, voice-of-a-giant, Dragon-speaking bastard that is Peter Hollens (envious of this guy… :P) put on a show of absolutely epic proportions, with music that is of angels; and have given the world an incredible remastering of the Skyrim themesong composed by Jeremy Soule, from the epic RPG videogame that has engulfed anyone who has touched it (available for PC, Xbox 360 or PS3 from Bethesda Game Studios).
Lindsey vs Peter, Sword vs Violin Bow! FIGHT!
Unbelievably, the bear-of-a-man explorer named Peter used over 120 overlayings of his vocal tracks to create the incredible voices you hear throughout this piece, and of course the incredible violin playing of Lindsey (who’s drop-dead sexy performance on a violin will make all men rush out and exclusively date violin players) will bring you to your knees in spellbound amazement. Topping off this cake of the Heaven’s is cinematography that would make The Lord of the Ring’s film director Peter Jackson stand up and cheer.
Add in first-person videogame viewpoints, INCREDIBLE special effects of Lindsey and Peter shooting spells at each other ripped right out of a videogame, and a Violin bowstring vs sword battle between Peter and Lindsey, and you can easily see why this amazing video has over two million and a half views!
Even after seeing it multiple times, it still gives me chills. Absolutely completely utterly BEAUTIFUL. Do yourself a favor and give this masterpiece video a watch!
